Should this topic be split from the General news thread or should it stay? I will state i am proud to be British and acknowledge that in this country's past history there are incidents that show both sides of the argument but unfortunately it is all part of our country's fabric and where we are today, and we have to acknowledge we have a part to play for the country's very future.
But as a citizen of Hertfordshire I am not proud of the incident that took place in Hoddesdon.
In all essence, we HAVE to get the balance right on this issue. that is important.
Skully mate you are right to say our government should be distancing from Trump. We may be breaking our close ties with Europe, but our government does need to see that trade ties with Europe need to be that little bit stronger with Europe than those with the US but undoubtedly I think we have relied on the dollar trading for too long, but maybe now for once we need to be looking at our European neighbours and see them - despite us not being so ingrained in the EU - as being a far more reliant trading bloc than than the US at the present time.
