On another point i don't think a overseas licence will be more expensive than a UK licence , i would think they are about the same , Babesation will probably pay about the same for a licence from the country of its origin as a Uk based company will pay for their Ofcom licence . Some one once asked why Babestation doesn't have a UK licence , the answer could be that seeing as Ofcom state they are a Dutch based company they probably don't fit the criteria for being granted a UK licence in the same way that Uk company's don't fit the criteria in order to be granted a overseas licence .
Having said all that Company's such has Playboy and TVX also i believe have branches of their respective company's based in Europe , so should be able to use their non Ofcom licence's that they use to broadcast in Europe to broadcast in the UK in the same way that BS does , this overseas licence would then allow channels such as Elite who are currently using channels licenced to TVX and RLC using Playboy channels to operate with out having the fear of massive fines or getting their licence revoked and they would not be hounded to hell and back by Ofcom , but the question still is why don't they ?
why is it if babestation has such a licence the content of their show is the same as the others ,they dont go any further as far as explicitness is concerned, but then again they are never reported to my knowledge !
The score with BS is clearly the fact that they don't need to generate money from their callers because there's plenty of gullible people buying all their other products ie, pictures, videos and BSXtreme.

Also, when did I ever say that women were being shagged while on their calls? The only channel that has anything close to this is the unmentionable channel.

You posted in the Charlie O'Neal thread 2 days ago that something happened between her and Afroman.

The Babe channels are under extreme pressure from Ofcom. We know they have used evidence from this forum against them. Some of your postings appear to come from someone who is either very naive or an agent provacateur.

I agree the primary function of the BS channels nowadays is to sell the pics/vids and Xtreme , more explicit content on tv could result in a loss of revenue for these services , but lets not forget only Sky channel 906 has a Dutch licence and a couple of the freeview channels , freeview Ch 95 and 96 i believe are Dutch , the other channels BS use on Sky and freeview are leased from other company's that have a Ofcom licence , also it has been mentioned before that BS1 on Sky has a Dutch licence while BS1 Ch 94 on freeview that shows the same feed from 12am has a Ofcome licence , the same goes for BSXtra , on freeview it has a Dutch licence but on Sky Ch 910 it has a Ofcom licence , so the channels by showing the same feed on 2 different platforms nearly always one way or another are working to Ofcom guidelines , the only time BS1 is totally unregulated by Ofcom is between the hours of 9pm - 12am because at this time BS 1 isn't shown anywhere on a tv platform that is Ofcom regulated , BS 1 starts on freeview Ch 96 at 11pm this channel has a Dutch licence , at 11.30pm it goes off air on freeview to accommodate BSXtreme that goes live on CH96 , when BS1 returns to freeview at 12am it transmits from CH 94 a channel with a Ofcom licence .
I worry about the future of elite, as without a foreign licence and all the new rules ofcom seem to keep coming up with the only channel worth watching soon will be babestation. And with no viewers no callers no income
All this stuff about Babestation and associated channels broadcasting on satellite via Sky from the UK to the UK and Ireland without an Ofcom licence and using a Dutch one without a UK licence from Ofcom at all to sort of escape any or some of the UK broadcasting rules is a complete load of old twaddle for sure!

Unless they send all their pictures and sound directly to Holland via digital high quality landline or super high quality broadband and the uplink their pictures and sound to the satellite via a Dutch uplink in Holland which would be vastly to costly and very unlikely, then they would come under Ofcom rules and duristriction for sure.

A) being most likely uplinked to the satellite via London Telecom Tower which is regulated via Ofcom and even if the land to satellite link wasn't Telecom Tower it's certainly 99.999999999% certain it'll be from somewhere else in the UK.

and B) if their pictures and sound are sent to Telecom Tower via Microwave link, this would also be licenced via Ofcom too.

I've had involvement with a few UK satellite radio stations over the last 22 years and am pretty clued up on the rules having also been at Astra in Betzdorf on 4 occasions too.

You can broadcast from Holland legally without having to be based there. British radio station Big L International held the Dutch licence on 1395 kHz Medium Wave with a transmitter in Holland directed at the UK until just over a year ago even though their company base and owners were in Birmingham and studios in Frinton, but as their Sky satellite channel (it used to be on 0190) were in the UK including all satellite uplinks, it meant Big L were also fully licenced by Ofcom too and not outside their rules or duristriction. At the moment Big L Radio is only on the Internet.

As the Babestation channels are definately uplinked from a UK based uplink they will without question be 100% under all Ofcom rules and duristriction for sure if only by virtue of their uplink to satellite licences. Any station of any kind uplinked in any way from the UK will have an Ofcom uplink licence.
Ofcom have said themselves their own website that Babestation are out of their jurisdiction.

Just to jump in here. mrmann and I have suspected for many months now that live, 'out-of-shot' shagging, etc does go on - certainly on the channel that cannot be mentioned, so there's certainly no reason to think it doesn't take place on the other channels too. Just as you are doing now, KRISB, we were laughed at, ridiculed and told we had very wild imaginations.

All I will say on the matter is that I now know for certain this kind of thing does go on, but I'm not prepared to say how I know. Oh, and I'm only referring to the out-of-shot involvement here, not the suggestion that callers meet with the girls.

Well I'm intreuged as to how they make themselves outside of Ofcom rules and are still in the UK based SKY EPG which also comes under UK regulation.

A UK based satellite uplink or microwave links are regulated by Ofcom and to send pictures abroad 24/7 via high quality landline link isn't cheap at all.

Anything on Freeview or UK Cable would be licenced via Ofcom for certain.

If it was cost effective, cheap and that easy to be a legit UK satellite broadcaster outside of any UK or Ofcom rules, then I'm sure even Radio Caroline the biggest pirate of them all would like to know as I know all avenues pursued by having been a now legit full time satellite radio station since February 1999 and they out of all stations would more than prefer/want to be able to broadcast legally outside of UK and Ofcom rules if if was that simple cost effective cheap and easy!
^^ I agree, but it obviously doesn't happen on the other channels during the sessions, but possibly off screen. I don't think it's anything too wild, but in this business it would be near impossible for no sexual activity to take place behind the scenes with the women and the crew. This has been confirmed by another member here, but no names were mentioned of course. Not a big deal or shocking, and I can't say that I wouldn't partake in some fun if I worked at Babestation or Elite, though it would be behind closed doors or in a bathroom stall, and not out in the open for all to see. To each their own though.
