Hardly any - which was my original point Huh

Shall we leave it there? I'm getting terribly confused now.

dannii harwood on xcitedtv.com stream 2 as broken this rule right now by being naked before 11pm, good for her.

So bang rebrand and on their 2nd night they start breaking the new 'rules' on rented channels

How stupid are the people running this company?? You get your license revoked, get new 'rules' imposed on every other channel because of your stupidity and now they just carry on where they left off. Are they trying to put themselves out of business

Are Bang really an independent buisness any more? They operate on a Playboy channel and have rebranded using the same name as a Playboy encrypted channel.

Playboy have been fined and warned enough times by Ofcom to know the score. Surely if there was a serious risk to their business they would pull the plug.
I emailed OFCOM, this is what I sent:

Dear Mr Howell,

I write to you to complain about OFCOM's recent changes to daytime talk shows, specifically Bang Media, Babestation etc. It is a step backwards for censorship, liberty and freedom of speech.

What OFCOM has accomplished with these changes, is the driving of these companies to virtually unregulated shows that will be held on the internet.

I don't expect my email to be read, nor do I expect a reply. But if you do have time, please think of the reprecussions of OFCOM's actions. You can not increase censorship laws in a country already highly censored without reprecussions.

Yours Sincerely

Well if nothing else, I'd like to say a big well done for actually going to the trouble of doing this. I think I'll get my thinking cap on and do something similar. I'd like to encourage everyone who disagrees with Ofcom's regulations to do the same, but I do have concernes that a flood of emails on the same subject would be too obvious in their intention and be ignored.
I'm reading this having only read the first post.

They're basically actually putting down in stone regs that they had advised before hand. Nothing new there and actually good considering it has gone past tastefully sexy with what has been worn recently.
No it used to be 10PM that was when you knew the show had officially started with the previous hour being no more than a warm up hour. The channels have actually lost 1 hour worth of entertainment.

no they haven't.

tits can still be out at 10pm and you can't get naked til 11pm which was always an unwritten rule

And never mind the fact that these channels are adult channels, I suppose?

I've said it before and I'll say it again. A watershed for adult channels is ridiculous and unecessary. How was what was happening on the dayshows before the new rulings came in, any more harmful than what might go out on the nightshows? If kids are watching these shows why do Ofcom feel they need more protection during the day?

They are classified as soft porn and they aren't PPV channels, so the watershed HAS to be enforced on them.

Fair enough, RCTV, that may be the hard facts, but it doesn't explain why you yourself didn't approve of the dayshows before the new rules were introduced.
