While your here BS, seeing as you are getting new graphics sorted, could you speak to those responsible about cutting down on the constant interuptions telling us what the OSGs already tell us and get the plug ins done between the sections, not constantly throughout the girls sections because as we all keep stating it is destroying the viewing pleasure. Basically, once you sort those few things out, then viewers won't be driven to change the channel and your call rates might just start to rise again.

Yup, there isn't really any new issues being raised here. Unfortunately, we may be implementing a new graphics system, but we can't change how the producers see fit to run the show or make announcements. Even though we do agree with some of the issues you guys raise on here.

It was clearly implied here:

(17-02-2011 11:31 )babestation Wrote: [ -> ]do you want us to rush it out and have black boxes all over it as we didn't have time to make the necessary components?

Why would the new system "have black boxes all over it" unless they were difficult to remove? Surely all that is needed is to stop using the damned things. The only message they ever convey that isn't already displayed in other ways is the one about girl callers, and that doesn't need an enormous black box - a simple one-line caption saying 'Girl Caller!' would suffice and that could be positioned where it causes virtually no obstruction.

Any chance you'll reply to my question about Megan, then? The one I sent over two weeks ago?

As I believe I've said before, I too have no evidence that anyone actually reads the PMs I send as I've only ever received one reply to the several I've sent.

Can we assume that you will try to get a message to the cameramen about the black boxes? The guy on BS1 last night didn't seem to know about them (on the assumption that nobody in their right mind would knowingly hide Geri's best feature behind them).

the new system would have black boxes because if we don't spend the time building the necessary promotional tools to allow promotion in a controlled, designed manner, the producers will take it upon themselves to overlay black boxes, as they do at the moment.

in regards to your PMs, the only ones I have ever seen from you contain the same moans which you say on the forum, and therefore didn't need a reply Smile

Surprised The producers do as they please, with absolutely no management control??? Therein lies the source of most of Cellcast's problems if that's true.

This confirms that I am correct in assuming that you don't read them.
So why not let the producers come on here and tell us why they keep these black boxes on when they are causing so much of a stink with veiwers, and why thet can`t just put a single line of graphics on the bottom/top of the screen like other channels do?bladewave

Read Babestations post as a whole sentence. If we don't produce the right tools for them, cut corners and just use black boxes again, then they will use them at their will.....

Oh and Hi guys Big Grin
BS, you pay the producers wages out of the generated income, so you do have the power to tell the producers who is boss. So please BS, tell the producers to:
a) tell the cameramen about the black boxes.
b) to put the plug in between the girls sections and not constantly interupting the girls sections, and
c) remind them that they work for you, not the other way round and if they can't grasp that, then remind about where the money comes from and at the rate they're going, they'll end up killing Babestation off.

Oh and Hi guys Big Grin

I have read babestation's post as a whole sentence. What he (she/they?), and now you, seems to be saying is that when/if the new system arrives the producers will still overlay black boxes if there isn't provision for every little whim they might have. Presumably the new system won't be introduced until management gives the order. So if that order includes an instruction to stop using the black boxes (as it logically should), you're saying the producers will defy it and continue to use black boxes whenever they feel like it?

The ultimate extrapolation of what you're saying is that we will never be rid of the boxes, because no matter how thorough and comprehensive the new system might be it could never cover all the possible future scenarios and the producers would continue to resort to the boxes.

If management are serious about removing the boxes the simplest most logical step would be to take away the facility to insert the boxes at the same time as the new graphics are introduced, then the producers wouldn't be able to bring them back even if they wanted to.

In any case it's piss poor management if they're just allowed to do whatever they like irrespective of any management instructions.

Welcome to the forum . . . er, who exactly are you and with what authority/qualification do you speak?
