The National Conservatism Conference kicked off today, its not an official Tory Party event but an American think tank which runs in the same circles as CPAC. Its the standard hard right of low tax, low regulation & dial the culture wars up to 11, so Liz Truss.
It featured Tory MPs such as Miriam Cates who declared the greatest challenge threatening the west to be low birth rates, very Orban/Meloni got to keep the white christian numbers up and gives a nod to antisemitic conspiracy theory by saying children are being indoctrinated with Cultural Marxism.
Rees-Mogg calls the voter id scheme a gerrymandering scheme that back fired as it largerly affected older voters. Yup Mogg said the quite part out loud calling Tory voter id laws "gerrymamdering".
Danny Krueger MP warns of the intelligenstia & globalised eilte and that Western civilisation is threatened by a "new religion", a mix of "Marxism, narcissism and paganism", conforming to the "dystopian fantasy of John Lennon". He then says that they should not retreat to the managerial class of the South East, does this boy not know he's a Tory ?
Braverman comes on, calls herself a "proud spartan" because she campaigned for Brexit and wanted to control migration. “We have a national character to conserve….conservatism is order or it is nothing.”, Enoch Powell called he wants his speech back. She goes on to rally against the usual suspects of the cultural wars trans ideology & the ethnicity of grooming gangs, seems like a pitch to be leader of the opposition.
There was also a speech by someone i have never heard of called Frank Furedi whose Twitter bio reads: Author, commentator, sociologist, democratic populist, Humanist Liberal Education & of course #COYS. He didn't say much really just a little thing about how "Leftist ideology sexualises children while infantilising themselves. These are the people who are abolishing the border between the private and the public, who argue that the distinction between humans and animals is a kind of racism."

Is this the future of The Tory party ? A Trump/Orban brand of Christian nationalism where the columnists of The Telegraph/The Spectator, GB news pundits, Tufton Street think tankers, ERGers & former public school boys all get together to jerk each other off and play soggy biscuit ?
