I bet even Jeremy Kyle would show Abbott up or what she is.....
Diane Abbott is what happens when candidates are chosen by quota and not ability.
So Alec Salmond been arrested if its for sexual harrasment he is guilty the fucker could never take NO for an Answer Tongue Tongue Tongue
Jesus worse than i thought

Charged with 14 offences

2 attempted Rapes and 9 Sexual assaults and other minor offences
find it funny on twitter the ones defending salmond would be wanting Boris or Farage hanging up by there balls if it was them that was charged with such offences
Someone who I went to school with and was a supporter of Independence and SNP voter posted a pic of her and her mother with Salmond a few years ago. She just posted today that his arresting was typical of the British establishment and people in the comments below others were lamenting that it was going to be used by the Mainstream media to undermine IndyRef2.

Whilst he remains innocent until proven guilty it is important to remember that sexual assault cases are amongst the hardest to prosecute and that these charges would not have been brought forward without prosecutors thinking that they had a good chance of conviction. Never the less it would not surprise me that if there were to be any guilty verdicts they would amount to less than half the number of total charges. It is important to remember that whilst many of the charges may be thrown out or fail to reach a guilty verdict that the verdict of NOT GUILTY does not mean innocent, it means that the court thinks you have committed the crime but does not have sufficient evidence to find you guilty.

It is also important to remember that many of these cases fall to he said she said, which doesn't hold up in court, and have little evidence which is why somewhere in the region of 94% of sexual assault cases end without a conviction. However only about 4-6% of these are deemed by the Police to be false allegations
If it was one or two cases/offences brought against Salmond then there maybe a suggestion of someone having a possible vendetta against him.But fourteen cases/offences is a substantial number will arise the suspicion of probable guilt among many people. And whether he is found guilty or innocent mud does tend to stick regarding sexual offences of any nature.

And as Southsidestu mentions crimes of a sexual nature are among the hardest to prosecute (lack of evidence or witnesses) hence resulting in a low successful prosecution rate. Many cases that are deemed having less than a 40% chance of prosecution are often advised to the victim by the judiciary to drop the cases but the most despicable thing of it all should a court case follow is the means of degredation the victim has to go through in court by a smart-mouthed lawyer.Victims often consider is it worth reliving the traumatic experience again in front of the courts being asked pretty degrading questions whilst the guilty party is merely yards away looking straight at them. Remember the court case brought against pro footballer Ched Evans where he was first found guilty of a non-consensual drunken rape but in a retrial had his sentence quashed.Previous partners of the victim were brought into the case to provide testimony & were questioned about their sexual activities & preferences with the victim in question. Many people (including judges, lawyers etc) thought that sort of mud-raking of the victim should never have been used.
Be interesting trying to find a jury for the court case though

he is very polarisng either way will have to be questions about independence and how you vote

Has to be done right and carefully you know he will moan about tory's and westminister conspiracy theorys if he is sent down. and also as he is another mouthpeice of russia today they will be getting in on the act no doubt

hope they are monitoring him so he doesnt go do a runner to a south american embassy maybe assange will be getting a room mate in the ecudorian embassy in london Tongue Tongue Tongue
I think considering the number of charges brought against him I wonder how many of his alleged victims are even likely to testify in court and if that is less than half then the more likely there charges dropped.

Come on man think about it before you say such things. He’s been charged which means they believe they have the evidence to convict him. The accusers will have agreed that they will testify in order for the prosecution to reach that conclusion.
