This type of thing has been going on for decades.
Remember 9/11, memo leaked from government, "anyone got any bad news to bury, today's the day".

Nope it wasnt the coronavirus its saudi's and russians seeing who has the biggest balls

Saudi's wanted a 1.5 million barrel a day cut to keep prices stable the russians decided they were not going to play ball so saudis took a hump and announced they are increasing production and cutting the price which will lead to a glut of oil

Both russian and saudis want to get rid of the US shale producers who wont be able to compete at that price
My mistake

A price war has caused Oil prices to have dropped 50%

Shall we have IndyRef2 now?
should we be buying Russian oil or Saudi oil (while it is cheap), just to keep the bog roll factories running?
Coronavirus: English local elections postponed for a year

Keir Starmer is elected leader of The Labour Party in the first round with a landslide 56% of the vote. Crucially his supporters have swept Labour's National Executive Committee, the power within the party, one would imagine that General Secretary Jennie Formby will leave her post as well resulting in a full purge of Corbynism

Good to see that there is now a grown up at the top table in British politics, a non-populist who does not have an entourage of conspiracy theorist followers that uphold him as a demagogue incapable of fault or wrong.

Question is will it matter in these populist times ?
