Fantastic win for Judd! That's 3 ranking tournaments in a row and sends him into the world no.3 spot within striking distance of Luca and Ronnie! He could be world no.1 after the next ranking tournament.

Great to see the gorgeous Desislava Bozhilova as referee. It's always great to see her get to referee a final.

Best of all the naughty snooker is back! With Judd doing some outrageous pots and positional shots when he was well ahead in the frames he won in the final session!
Scotch Open starting tomorrow, I believe.
Gary Wilson aiming to defend his the title from last year's success.
Judd Trump going for the third Home Nations tournament win in a row.
Williams out
Hawkins out
Murphy out
Milkins out
Vafaei out

First round casualties already.

And Ronnie O'Sullivan has withdrawn.
Trump romped through though. Tough 2nd rounder with Zhang Anda ahead though.
Mark Allen lost to someone called Jamie Jones, a male Jamie Jones.

I noticed on the one year ranking list that Allen's victory at the Shootout pushed Tubs out to no.17. Jack Lisowski is no.18 on the 1 year list, but he won his match yesterday so if he does well he can push Tubs even further back. Tubs will have to do well in the January and February ranking tournaments if he wants to qualify for the Players Championship. Otherwise he'll have to join the players doing tours and exhibitions in China to make up for loss of income, if they'll have him.
Cao Yupeng also went out in the 2nd round after his eventful Saturday.

Luca Brecel needed a decider to see off James Cahill, but he did knock in a couple of big century+ clearances along the way.
Judd Trump is out.
Beaten 4-2 by an inspired Zhang Anda.

Jack Lisowski also out after a 4-1 loss to Aaron Hill.
Mark Selby got a 64 break in the deciding frame to see off Matthew Stevens 4-3.

Lisowski did enough to climb to 17th place in the 1 year ranking list for now, but he still has a lot of work to do to qualify for the Players Championship in the new year. Matthew Selt and Pang Junxu can push for a place in the Players Championship if they can keep going.
Both last year's finalists won today.
Gary Wilson fended off Xing Zihao 4-3 while Joe O'Connor saw off Scott Donaldson 4-1.
Kyren Wilson thrashed Jordan Brown 4-0.

And Martin O'Donnell stunned Luca Brecel 4-2 in the evening session.
