Selby increasingly has the aura of a player focussed on winning the majors.
World, UK and Masters.
The Masters is just around the corner in early 2017.
Already World and UK champion.

I've seen it half a dozen times between yesterday & today, it's the same ad each time. One of those fancy new Dyson hairdryers with the hole through the middle. It would be terribly sexist to say that's just what most people watching snooker would have any need for? Tongue
Quest is one of those odd channels that you wonder what brought it on.

Tubs Murphy and Ali Carter got KO'd yesterday, as did Mark King. Anthony Hamilton is still in it, though.
Hamilton lost to another fatty, Milkins.

Semi-finals:

John Higgins v Judd Trump
Marco Fu v Yu Delu
John Higgins pulled off a major result, turning a 1-5 deficit into a 6-5 victory Smile
Fu came through against an over-awed Yu Delu.

There was a fun anecdote from Friday night's game between Fu and Mark Davis. Davis apparently won some Seniors event last season, but it's been taken off the calendar, possibly for ever. Whoever was commentating with Mike Hallett brought up that Hallett won the Hong Kong Open in 1989, which also hasn't been played since Tongue
Congrats to Marco Fu on a superb Scottish Open triumph beating John Higgins to claim the title.
Higgins soared into a 4-1 lead with some truly awesome snooker but astonishingly was to not win a frame from that point on.
Fu battled back to 4-4 at the interval and then powered away to win 9-4.
Another emotional HN result, though I'd guess Bazza didn't expect any of them would go like they have done.

Well done to Marco, who I believe also won his 1st ranking event in Aberdeen, and was based for a while in Stirling. If he hasn't already got a kilt, it must surely only be a matter of time Wink

I find the Eurosport set-up a lot warmer than the BBC now.
It really was a special effort from Fu.
Higgins has been in excellent form just recently. A lot of players would have crumbled under that early century barrage from Higgins but Fu stayed strong to produce a stirring fightback.
Every credit to him.
Day managed to put Sunday's defeat behind him with a 1st round Welsh Open win last night. Fu beat Gould also.

15-year-old Jackson Page also won his 1st round match Smile
