Yes it should be appaluded for that alone.

You're right, it didn't happen.

The new service was in place and the deal done and dusted BEFORE it was decided to end the USA service.

If the new deal hadn't been done the USA service would most likely have continued for longer.
or for me s66 had decided to end s66usa before they made it public and got things sorted for the replacement show. Once they had things sorted, they announced s66usa was finishing
The 'new' channel has been discussed over two pages now and I'm still none the wiser.

Someone just give me a simple answer to a simple question; is this channel that starts on the 8th (the one discussed in the News on New Channels thread) just S66 under a new name, or something else altogether?

At present this is unknown. The Twitter feed of the channel you refer to ('KKHC-TV') has omitted the channel number from their publicity, for reasons best known to themselves. It's not even clear whether it's a channel or just the name of a new night show on an existing channel, i.e. renting their channel space.
Someone on the other thread said they suspected it had ChatGirl connections, although I don't remember what their reasons were.

From what i can gather some of the people that used to run and promote ChatGirl TVX will be running the new Sky channel, plus a lot of the ChatGirl TVX girls will be on the new channel.
The same twitter account that used to promote ChatGirl TVX is now promoting XtremeFilth the new Sky TV show that starts broadcasting on Sky Ch 942 on September the 8th .

Seems pretty conclusive to me.

I think this is inevitably true. Without the new plan being in place I think USA broadcasts would have continued.
The new channel should be prosecuted under the Trades Descriptions Act. its about as "EXTREME" as Bruce Forsyth!
