This appears to be an attempt at S66 to enhance their technical capability, the details I can't confirm but I applaud the intent.
Kimmy Worship is on TV this morning, although I saw this on the web.
It seems the Gallery was attempting to facilitate Kimmy's chat in the studio stream chat. You'll notice that both her and Gallery posted comments. As you see there's issues with the picture although I can't be sure that that's a by-product of the attempt.
Now I thought I'd seen this before anyway but here's a few observations.
1. That Gallery is interested in improvements.
2. That this Gallery person is interested in communicating with the viewer. It's variable, especially during the middle shift it seems there's no one at the controls at all.
3. That this Gallery person has enough engineering knowledge to try something and is allowed to.
4. That Kimmy is involved. I'm not surprised, we can see what a personable individual she is. What's happened is that callers have bemoaned the capability and she's listened, seen it for herself and maybe asked Gallery whether something can be done. Shandyhand reported how Brooks did the same thing, that led to capabilty that's now seen all the time.
5. That they try to improve this, for me improving the mic would be the priority.
6. Contrast with BS, their mics work fine. I'm not sure whether they bother getting the babe to chat in writing.
There's also this
A remark made by no less than Atlanta Moreno concerning the hours worked by broadcast engineers at Milton Keynes. If S66 men are expected to do the same then I condemn it.
