For the last few years the players have donated all their England fees to a charity. I think I heard they had given over a £1m in that time.
For years now I have found the style of play in England games boring and lacking the pace and excitement of the premiership, I only watch because of national pride and a For long hope things will get better.
I think Iceland just had nothing to lose everything to gain. Given a licence to enjoy themselves. England on the other hand had the burden of expectation. You could see the pressure getting to them at the end. How many passes went over each other's foot? Also I don't think its a case of not having pride in the shirt or not giving their all . Look at Andy Murray he has lost plenty of times to players ranked well below him. Yet nobody can say he does not give it his all. Sometimes it's just not there. CLive Woodward when he was England's rugby coach had the concept t-cup which stands for thinking cleverly under pressure. He would make sure in training thst every situation was rehearsed under near match conditions. He would also only play players in form. Surely it must have been obvious to Roy that Sterling and Kane were out of form?
I'd bring Glenn Hoddle back as manager just to hear his bat shit crazy views on the world. Eilean could be the new sports pyschiatrist.

If Gareth Southgate gets the job I can see Wembley being half empty again like in the nineties.
If Southgate is the best option we have got we are truly fucked.
Jack Wilshere at the final whistle. His look says it all.

Who ever the new manager is the first thing he should do is teach those fuckers the words to the national anthem, I'm sick and tired of watching them mumble along pretending to sing, especially Rooney. It might just install a sense of pride in wearing the England shirt.

Perhaps Psycho could teach them.
Great piece by Jamie Carragher in Daily Mail the other day felt he hit the nail on the head on most things and I feel the game needs to be restructured from top to bottom, yet I agree with Alan Shearer, why aren't there more former players at he FA? I would love to we him as England manager but I think a pairing of maybe Hoddle & Southgate might be the answer rather than Southgate outright. Also at grass roots levels kids are probably being over coached, and to that I say rather than over coaching them let the kids develop naturally until 17, let them get a love for the game until 17 then help them develop the own natural ability.

But above all we need some of those players to come out and say sorry publicly.

maybe if w are to have interim manger Psycho should be given another shot if we haven't found anyone by time the qualifiers start.

I am fed up too wit the way they sign the national anthem, they show no emotion or passion when singing it!!

I don't think Kane was too much out of form, it was the way Roy used him against Russia in the first place on the set pieces that made me question Roy's tactical abilities what was he thinking that Kane could take set pieces and be England's front striker at the same time? I bet Danny Drinkwater should have gone in place of either Sturridge or Stirling he had a great season the either of those two did. also I do hope whoever is in charge, will say to the FA "I will do this my own way not how you want me to do it" and rather than show loyalty to players who have played before he picks players who are in form un injured and who are prepared to show passion, commitment to playing fro England for 90 minutes, battle for every ball!!
