Oh yeah UEFA will really go for it towards Russia when the world Cup is going there in 2 years time
They won't risk upsetting FIFA either I bet I doubt if any UEFA sanctions will be backed by FIFA unless FIFA impose a stadium ban on Russian supporters in 2018 which won't happen

I think after this tournament is over, I wonder if the FA will begin to have second thoughts about qualifying for 2018. Would they really want to put an England team & supporters at risk of bigger threats & attacks in Russia's own back yard?

What has that got to do with anything?

Peter Crouch thought Vardy should have come on, but Lee Dixon disagreed. Ian Wright wasn't sure and made contradictory statements on the issue.

UEFA would not be keen to upset Putin - they'd rather upset Cameron instead. (Another good cause for Brexit?)
Trouble is. I wonder how many England fans have gone over there not to watch the football but to pick fights in the first place. but the fact that it has been three days running trouble has flared in Marseille

Apparently if any sanctions are issued the worst will be aimed at Russia. As for how many England fans have gone out just to cause trouble. Hardly any it seems as been numerous reports that England fans overall have been well behaved & any trouble has been England fans being targeted & attacked by hardcore Russian ultras or hardcore local Marseille ultras.

I'm surprised the French police didn't shut down the bars on match day
but would say the police were more heavy handed on English supporters than they were on the local & Russian ultras. But other people are quick to condemn our supporters for the violence in Marseille saying on Twitter "Oh look the lovely English are destroying Marseille" when okay maybe a few were bent on trouble but what can you do when get provoked by local thugs and Russians?

I would not be surprised if local thugs target both Welsh and English supporters on Thursday one way or another.
Unholy alliance of Russian racist thugs and local Ultras and the French police who collectively see the English as "fair game" and a "scalp". This is because, historically speaking, we invented and exported hooliganism to he rest of the world from the 1970s onwards into the 1980s and were then the undisputed dons of hooliganism.

We are a shadow of our former selves, and are too disorganised now, but history makes us a target. Russian gangs armed with axes and clubs and knives are not playing by the unwritten "rules" of old-school hooliganism anymore either.

Re football - ITV panel of pundits are a joke. Crouch's teeth were unwatchable. Kane had a dreadful game and Vardy should have replaced him. Milner - hopeless depressing player. Lallana can't shoot for toffee, always scuffs his powder puff shots. Sterling - 50million, what a joke all he can do is run. Rose played superbly apart from the equaliser. Rooney is good in midfield. Woy hasn't got a clue - how did he survive after the brazil debacle?

Because its was already a boiling point for trouble adding both Russian and British football fans both of which both countrys have been bombing syria which said locals might not like the fact

also the fact that 19 had already been shot this year

UEFA has opened disciplinary proceedings against Russia for the trouble at the end of the match, racist behaviour, and fireworks being set off.

No proceedings have yet been opened against England.

Agreed we should have put Vardy on for 10 - 15 minutes - sitting back on a 1-0 lead was asking for trouble - Sterling has pace but his last balls were awful. Rooney played well but disappeared at times when the ball wasn't coming through midfield. A pretty good display let down with a couple of issues that can be fixed.
Why oh why sit back and invite fate? Freshen up the attack with Vardy and keep the pressure on. Would have been 2 or 3 nil.
