Can't believe they've gone and made the same mistakes again!
A shockingly below par display lacking in ideas, imagination, excitement and passion. And for once I'm not talking about Studio 66. Wink

Seriously though - how the hell did that go wrong? Well I'll tell you. We could talk long and hard about the failing performances from a woeful England tournament. Wilshere did nothing, and shouldn't even have been in the squad. Rooney had a nightmare. Rashford and Vardy should have been on sooner, other players (Drinkwater, Noble and Carroll to name three) should have been in the squad after being in superb form throughout the domestic season. Joe Hart has produced some of the most pathetic gaffes I've seen from an England keeper.

But instead of wallowing in self pity, I'll just say the truth. And the truth is this - that Iceland wanted it more. Iceland's players are not distracted by over-filled pay packets. From the first minute, the tiniest nation to appear in a major tournament showed the kind of heart and desire that the beautiful game should be built on.

So long Roy. Wish I could say it's been a pleasure. Sad

That's what we lack most if they can't play for the pride of wearing their England shirt they they shouldn't be anywhere NEAR the England team

Basically the manager & the players are/were just not good enough. Lucky to get as far as they did in this competition.

And to be fair to them they could've had more than the two they got , just question if they do against France after putting in so much effort tonight . I'll be pulling for them though .

It was like the Vikings were coming
WTF just happened?? Sad thing is that was Iceland's easiest game in the tournament. Mentally weak, totally collapsed in the second half.

yeah they have lost it since the stamford bridge match Kane has been firing blank since even ali has been shite

True he was poor in the Euros and should have been dropped but why was Wiltshire in the squad when his hardly played this season and been out for so long his place should have been given to someone else that earned it. Same with sterling his had a poor season and shouldn't have been in the squad. But as a team they were poor and not playing as a team they have to take responsibility for that along with Roy who doesn't seem to know his best starting 11, poor tactics and can't seem to lift and motivate the players so congrats to Iceland for actually playing as team and going through.
