To be fair to French security, those flares the Croatian supporters carried into the ground could easily be mistaken for huge sticks of chewing gum or something like that, so I can understand why they were allowed in.
Anyway it was a tremendous match between Croatia and Czech Republic, with the 2-2 draw featuring yet another stoppage time goal. It was a late goal for Italy too, 88th minute, when they beat Sweden 1-0 earlier.

Got to agree that Forster should be given a chance against the Slovaks. I am slightly biased as I am a Saints fan, but Hart has not impressed this season let alone this tournament. Big Club Status buffers his place as usual.
I see my club Crewe being well represented on the BBC punditry team with Danny Murphy, Neil Lennon and Robbie Savage.
Mark Clattenburg comes out of the Croatia-Czech Republic match with a lot of credit. He kept calm and collected when the flares were first launched onto the pitch, waving the players over to the side of the pitch but stopping short of sending them down the tunnel, before correctly awarding the penalty. A good spot in any circumstances, not least the mayhem of this match. An extraordinary finish really, when you consider that Croatia were cruising at one time and could have been about 4 up. Now UEFA will be opening disciplinary proceedings against Croatia.

No, a draw against Slovakia will be enough for England to qualify and it could be enough to win the group too.

Bloody ridiculous!! if we had their security arrangements at every Premier league grounds in this country I'd be very worried about somebody siting next to me might be carrying un - noticed they are very lucky that no major terrorist atrocity hasn't happened.
