There was never any chance of Falcao. Athletico Madrid would not have sold to Real Madrid.

Yes I know this, he had something in his contract that said that, I was just using it as an example, Bale is not better than Falcao and is no way worth 75m more, if Spurs think they are getting that for him they are dreaming, and if Madrid pay it then they are either desperate or stupid.

He is no better than Ronaldo who was and who is still a better player than Bale.

It is daft money for Bale. A very talented player but mad money. Spurs can't be faulted for setting the fee so high though. Levy is basically saying 'we are happy to keep him, but every player has his price and Bale's is going to be extortionate'.
I did read that RM have offered £100 million plus Modric but I find that hard to believe as they still owe Spurs money for Modric.
Common sense goes out of the window with RM though. They want to be top dog and beat Barca in having the most expensive player.
It does make you wonder why there is people starving all around the world when football teams will pay 100m for a player... How many lives can be saved for that?... Times have gone crazy...
yes but the premier league fan boys and glory hunters will continue to subscribe to sky or pay their money to go and watch this crazy league so nothing will change, the question is how much more crazy can it get? average midtable players will be sold for £30-40m soon, it is laughable that £30m is too cheap for a good player now, 10 years ago that was a lot when man united got Ferdinand

technically you are a glory hunter though fernandez even though you don't get much glory by supporting liverpool at the moment but at least your not from chester and should be supporting chester so you are ok

I totally agree all it seems to be about these days is money which i know its business so they do have to make profit but it seems to have gone out of hand now, i loved football in the 70's and 80's as it seemed like people were playing for the love of the game now its totally different. With ticket prices always going up, football shirts now coming out every year instead of every two years and even they aren't cheap any more and with kids wanting to have the latest shirt so that there not left out. With the economy everyone is being hit hard by it and with lots people around the world suffering and so much money being thrown around like its nothing and i do realise that a footballers career can be cut short so have to make as much money as possible but its gone too far now. I loved watching players like Zola and Bergkamp they seem love playing because of passion of footballer, now it doesn't seem to be a working class game any more Sad

I follow 3 teams, Santos, Porto and Liverpool, all of these teams I have connection with, I was Born in Santos, Lived in Porto and My mother is from Liverpool.....

Part of me agrees about letting go of Fabregas but then I wonder that there has to be more to this than United just doggedly pursuing a player. There have been persistent rumours that the player wants to come to us as he knows he will not be getting many games this coming season with Barca. In a World Cup year too....
Soldado to Spurs for £26 million. That's £50 million spent on 3 players in the last few weeks. Ambitious at White Hart Lane?Smile
