wikipedia dont trust them open to people to change stuff for example someone put veron kay died in a boating accident.
Has anyone else noticed how ever since this has happened that a number of channels including Bang Media's have toned down their shows, especially the daytime ones? Oh, and when you read THIS, well, it certainly makes you wonder if there's more to this than meets the eye.
It has been truly awful this week on the night channels. Why don't they all get together for the sake of their business retain a decent solicitor and go after Ofcom for restraint of trade, or put the bloody thing on encryption. Its time to change the business model as this cannot go on forever and we won't pay £1.50 per minute forever for this i.e glamour launch last night
dont think its been that bad on the nightshows including bangbabes. ofcom have rules and its up to the channels to interpret them and decide how far they can go. some channels produce very good shows that genearally dont overstep the rules and some spectacularly break the rules especially bangbabes which i why ofcom have gone after them and the other channels have decided to back off so ofcom dont go after them

cant aim the blame just at ofcom, the channels have to take their share of the blame
The big problem is that it's virtually impossible for the channels to know what the rules mean. Every time Ofcom see something they don't like they just re-interpret their rules to suit whatever decision they want to make.
good point but the channels have to play their part too

I think this could also be the problem with the freeview show if it also has the dutch licence , Ofcom may well have instructed the freeview tech guy's to block the signal

Do Ofcom actually have any powers like this? To force broadcasters to have UK licences only? To forcibly block a signal? Several people have said that mr mysery's explanation makes sense, but in reality it only makes sense if Ofcom actually have such powers as described, and I have never heard before that powers like this exist. If other people are right and this explanation makes sense it doubtless means that everyone else knows more than I do.

I perfer not to speculate or make assumption, i hope the problem gets fixed in the near future as soon as possible would be great

Point taken however my point is not about interpretation of the rules but evoultion of the business model. After awhile customers become hungry for more and if these channels cannot service it they will go elsewhere. Ofcom say that sexual provocation over a certain standard must be encrypted. None of us would have a problem tapping four numbers in.The future of these channels in the next 2 years will be determined by how they overcome these restrictions.
