The season ending FedEx playoffs begin on Thursday with the St Jude Championship at TPC Southwind, Tennessee.

Top seventy qualifiers will get reduced to fifty going into the BMW Championship.

The top thirty after that will then play the Tour Championship to decide the overall FedEx Cup champion who will win an $18m bonus.
Going into the final round it is Lucas Glover who leads at -14. Taylor Moore is at -13 and Tommy Fleetwood at -12.
Jordan Spieth is a further shot back and Rory McIlroy is in a cluster of players at -9.
Would really like to see Fleetwood win this event. It's a big enough tournament in its own right without even considering what comes next. Lots of ranking points available and a potential game changing moment in his career if he can get over the line.
Come on Tommy.
A course record 61 (-9) by Victor Hovland blew away the field the win the BMW Championship at Olympia Fields Chicago. His round included at back nine score of 28 (-7) in which he scored three on all but one of the holes.
Ludvig Aberg landed his maiden PGA Tour win, the RSM Classic after back to back 61's finishing 4 shots clear on -29. His victory has propelled him to 32 in the World Rankings & also a spot at the Masters in April.
It's the unofficial fifth major starting this Thursday at TPC Sawgrass i.e The Players Championship. Scottie Scheffler is the defending champion and seemingly in good form after winning the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill at the weekend.
Indeed snooks one of my favourites tournaments out with the majors especially the iconic 17th no doubt will cause some carnage this week with maybe the odd highlight reel of positivity

Sadly, The Players can no longer call itself the 5th Major now that the LIV Tour has robbed this event of so many elite golfers. Still one of the very best courses on any tour.

Interestingly World No.1 Scheffler got a putting tip from World ranked No.2 Rory, which helped Scottie to his 1st win in almost a year.
His putting was the part of his game that had prevented him from winning, despite maintaining the No.1 spot.
Rory & Schauffele are the clubhouse leaders on -7. Still a few to complete their rounds, but the finishing holes are tough so it will take something special the better those scores.

Edit : The 2023 US Open Champion Wyndam Clark also got to -7 to make it a 3 way tie.
After back to back 65's Clark sits atop of the leatherboard on -14.
