Jimnez's lady looks a sortSmileSmile
Congratulations to Phil Mickelson on a superb win. Great round of golf under tough conditions. Only man under par for the tournament. Methinks Tiger will never break Nicklaus's record of major wins now, the fire seems to be gone now.
I dumbly came online for a bit, thinking I'd pick it up in time, and then got carried away. Upshot - switched the telly on to see Mickelson parading the Claret Jug before the crowd and thinking "MICKELSON??! But how?!"

Anyway, credit to the guy, 10 years ago he got enough flak for not winning any. He's got the right stuff now. More chance of him beating Nicklaus' record than Woods Wink

Also credit to Westwood and Poulter, and Stenson, and others who really deserve it for their efforts.
This must have been Westwoods best chance to win a major, but Mickelson won it rather than Westwood throwing it away,& it wasn't his putting that let him down.
Who was the commentator, when asked who he thought would win, went through about 15 names and then said that he hoped Mickelson was not watching, but he thought that Mickelson didn't have the game to win at Muirfield. Must feel a right tit nowSad Might have been Mark James, but not sure. Just goes to show that experts can slabber as wellSmileSmile

Yeah,. I'm sure he did the same at the Masters against Els one time. Can't knock him for trying to win by winning Cool
Good starts for our English players at the US PGA Championship,Furyk & Adam Scott lead on -5 with Westwood on -4,Casey on -3 & Rose on -2.
Good to see Europe win The Solheim Cup in the US for the first time with a crushing 18-10 victory.
Henrk Stenson holds a one shot lead at the halfway stage of the World Tour Championship in Dubai.
He would be the first player to win the PGA Tour's FedEx Cup series & the European Tour Money list in the same year.
Stuart Manley experienced what he described as the highest high & the lowest low during a 2 hole stretch of his 3rd round at the World Cup of Golf in Melbourne. He hit a hole-in-one at the 3rd & thought he had won a Mercedes, only to discover the prize was only available in the final round. He followed it up with an eleven, the highest score of his professional career.
