Heres a round up of leagues 1 and 2.

In league 1, Charlton and Sheffield Wednesday both gain promotion to the Championship automatically. Sheffield United, Huddersfield, MK Dons and Stevenage grab the play off spots. Wycombe, Chesterfield, Exeter and Rochdale are relegated to League 2.

In League 2, Swidon, Shrewsberry and Crawley gain promotion to League 1 automatically. Southend, Torquay, Cheltenham and Crewe grab the play off spots. Hereford and Macclesfield are relegated to the Conference.

My predictions for the play offs in League 1. Sheffield United to beat Stevenage and MK Dons to beat Huddersfield to reach the play off final. Sheffield United will beat MK Dons to gain promotion to the Championship.

My predictions for the play offs in League 2. Crewe to beat Southend and Torquay to beat Cheltenham to reach the play off final. Crewe to beat Torquay to gain promotion to League 1
A league 2 summary.

Hereford done the unthinkable today and beat Torquay who needed a win themselves to gain the last automatic promotion place. Hereford went in to the game today knowing they had to win to stand a chance of staying up. They won, but sadly for them Barnet also won, away at Burton to stay up, thus relegating Hereford.

Barnet will count themselves fortunate, as Burton missed a penalty on the stroke of half time, however they won't care less as they will be playing yet again in League 2 next season.

So it is Hereford who will join the other relegated side, Macclesfield next season playing in the Conference (Blue Square Premier) .

Swindon sealed the championship a couple of weeks a go and Shrewsbury already knew they would be joining them in League 1 next season. There was one last automatic place to play for and 3 teams had a chance of taking it.Crawley, Torquay and Southend were the 3 teams in contention. At half time it was Southend who looked like going up. Torquay were 3-0 down and Crawley were losing however a goal in the 2nd half from Crawley secured promotion for the Sussex side.

Crewe drew 2-2 at home to Aldershot to secure their place in the play offs along with, Southend, Torquay and Cheltenham. The play offs will be an interesting affair with the final I think between Torquay and Southend.
I know Crewe only finished 7th in League 2, but I picked them to win the play offs because they are on a good run at the moment
I'm also pleased for Dave Jones at Sheffield Wednesday. I always liked him as a manager - when he was at Molineux he had a raw deal off the chairman and board who didn't back him with enough funds to stay in the premier league. Similar thing happened to Mick McCarthy this year... but we won't go in to that again. Rolleyes Wink

I'd like to see both Sheffield clubs come up now - derbies are special occasions. Thats why I'd like Blackpool or West Ham to go up through the playoffs, then we can have local derbies against Blues and Villa who maybe will come down with us. Smile
I'm pleased to see Sheffield Wednesday go up. They got almost a full house of 38,000 cheering them on today, which is fantastic for a third-tier team. It would also be good for the city (where I spent three years as a student) to see the Blades go up via the play-offs, but to be honest as long as the evil franchise scum don't get promoted, I'll be happy.
Regenerated makes an interesting point about derbies. We're going to have loads next season: Brighton, Millwall, Charlton, plus possibly West Ham and QPR, and some even count Watford (personally I don't).

Glad they've come up though, now all we need is either utd or huddesfield to come up for a glorious bucket load of Yorkshire derbys Big Grin
