I can see Neil Warnock ending up back at his old club to try and pull off a survival act in just the same way as he did at Huddersfield Town last season. With 3 teams in the Championship head & shoulders above the rest, you could end up with the farcical situation of having a team like Norwich gaining promotion who are currently 19 points adrift.
For some daft reason 46 games aren't enough. We already have a couple of knock-out cup competitions, I thought this was suppose to be a league, no need to tag on a Playoff scenario.

I recall the sage comment of I think Joe Royle when Oldham lost out to Leeds in the first year of the play-offs and described it as "the longest cup competition in the world".
