My neighbours across the road had one, the stunt cycle and the winnebago he lived in. Got it for Christmas one year but it was broken within a few weeks, they just didn't look after their stuff. Don't remember the HAVOC dolls, but I do remember ACTION MAN and a character doll called MARK STRONG who had various outfits from the England football squad kit to an orange jumpsuit. If you pressed his back it made his arm go up and down(left one) and you had your own breakaway karate board for him to chop Big Grin
Don't remember Mark Strong but I did have an Action Man figure with blond frizzy hair in a Blues and Royals uniform of the Household Cavalry. I also had the WW2 German army uniform and a French Resistance outfit for him as well as a kit bag which was stuffed full of stuff.
I think there is a picture of Mark Strong which I posted on the images thread sometime back. I had the Action Man Adventurer and a Jeep with some accessories, but a friend of mine collected tons of stuff and sold a few things to me and others so my collection built up over time. I remember me and mate building our own assault course complete with zip wire in the garden.
Had Angel Delight today for the first time in nearly 40 years. Somehow it didn't taste as good as it used to.
I used to like the strawberry one of that and it never looked like the picture on the sachet-you know why? It was coloured mashed potato and my mother could never get it to look so creamy and peaky-now we know why! I must admit I didn't think they still made that, especially as it was full of sugar and colouring once.
I'm amazed too!! I had thought they had stopped making it!!

Anyway favourite & worst dinners/desserts at school!! (while we are still got out taste buds feasting on Angel Delight!!!)

Favourite dinner: Fish and chips worst dinner : Shepherds pie (I love it now!! - not back then)

Best dessert Jelly & Ice ream or custard Worst : Semolina (YUK!!!!)
I took a packed lunch to primary school but in higher school we had a canteen system so my favourite were beef burgers, chips, spaghetti hoops and then that old school favourite the strawberry sponge square, but not with custard and I hated jelly(still do today).

You had to mention school dinners...

God the horror...was ok in secondary school, we used to go the local chippy, but the years from 1974 to 1977 stick in my memory for all the wrong reasons.

Semolina...like someone had added flour to wallpaper paste. Nasty and vile. The horrendous sago/tapioca or as we called it ‘frogspawn’...and no, putting a blob of jam in the middle of it did not make it anymore appealing or appetising. I feel a shudder go through me and a vaguely nauseous sensation in my stomach just thinking about it.

Fish with the softest, thinnest batter you can imagine, teamed up with an igloo shaped mashed potato, complete with black lumpy bits and peas that would bounce on the floor if they fell from your plate...

YUCKKKK....
It was babelover48 not me, I just answered him. Big Grin
Incidents at school mealtimes: During my trip to our canteen. i had got my usual stuff and had just sat down when someone came along and lifted one of my beefburgers from the plate and ran off. Someone also once left the top of the vinegar bottle loose and when I came to use it, you guessed it, it drenched my whole meal in vinegar thus ruining it. I had to go back and get a replacement. I was bloody furious but my friends were hooting with laughter. They used to do stupid things like that and also the salt cellar top was loosened. One of the things I do remember liking were the giant jugs of cold water we used to get to drink in those colourful plastic cups. One final thing I remember is when they installed a coffee machine so we could get a hot drink in the Winter. Trouble was the coffee was truly awful and so I ended up hating coffee for life and just had a hot chocolate instead.
