Teachers hyping up a visit by The Green Cross Code Man (late 70s). None of us took much notice until one Teacher pointed out he was also Darth Vader in Star Wars.

The big day arrived, Dave Prowse walked on stage..... And then started speaking in his broad Bristol accent. A voice from the back of the hall piped up with "that's not Darth Vader" Big Laugh
Wasn't it Alvin Stardust who did one saying to kids trying to cross while cars whipped by "you must be out of your tiny minds..."
^Correct. Kevin Keegan did one too.
They were all replaced by a cute robot later. No doubt due to the Star Wars influence at the time.

Did he?

There are only two things I remember him doing that were non-football related.

Taking part in a programme called Superstars in 1976 when he fell off his bike in a race on a cinder track and skinned his back in the process.

And singing that abomination ‘Head over heels’

The barsteward...never forgave him for leaving Liverpool the way he did...cost us the treble at Wembley by playing like utter dog turd and playing a big part in Man United’s opening goal.
Tsk tsk how could you forget his double act with Sir Henry Cooper for the series of BRUT 33 ads "splash it on all over!" Big Grin And he appeared on Little and Large's show because Eddie Large did an impression of him.

Quite easily mate..I along with the vast majority of Kopites absolutely worshipped him. When word got out that he was leaving, the majority of us turned on him, we just couldn’t believe that he wanted to go.

I’m not ashamed to admit that I cried my eyes out when I found out he was going, couldn’t forgive him, but soon forgot him once King Kenny arrived from Celtic Smile
I remember when he played for SV Hamburg-never quite understood why he left Liverpool. When I played football at school I had a red shirt with a number 7 on it, for Mr Keegan, and was proud to wear it whilst all around me were Arsenal supporters-but then back then all the shirts were the same looking. I remember that Superstars episode, nasty fall that.
