With only 4 fixtures and an extraordinary set of results it was easy to have a wipe out. If VAR didn't rule out the late winner West Ham feel they should have allowed, a lot of people would have had a wipeout. As it was all the people, including myself, who got the 1-1 scoreline got the 3 points.

I'm surprised, and feeling giddy from vertigo, to be in 2nd, my highest ever place, especially as Stemm got his joker so he got 6 points from the West Ham result. VAR is confusing and my understanding was that if the player who scores accidentally handballs it, the goal should be disallowed, but if a player other than the scorer accidentally handballs it the goal should be allowed. It looked liked Bowen accidentally handballed it when he put his hand up to claim something, but Soucek scored so the goal should have been allowed. VAR confuses the hell out of me. I think I'd have rather had the West Ham win and taken the wipeout.
There's no doubt that the last round with only four matches was a strange setup. You're quite right - a couple of wipeouts were very possible, probably even almost certain. Wink

Ideally, I would have liked to tag that round on to another one, but there were already 11 matches in week 28 and week 30 seemed like ages away with the international break in between. Still, I'm pleased to see people still benefitting from it. Well done Charle on your first joker. Smile

To confirm, I'll be posting week 30 fixtures some time Tuesday afternoon. Not sure exactly when, depends on what time I get home from work plus got a few other errands to attend to afterwards. Keep watching the main thread on Tuesday because I'm making the newest list the second and final "Joker's are Wild" round. Jokers will be a correct score tripled, meaning nine points.

I've chosen this week because it seems the most viable time with the season approaching the home stretch and in my opinion the fairest time with all players having the one joker. It is also the standard ten matches in the list. There's a hectic schedule coming after this one but let's not get ahead of ourselves. Wink

Ok, that's it for now and just wanted to give a quick heads up. I hope to see everyone taking part. Thanks as always for all your support and contributions in keeping this game running. Smile
You're telling me there is a hectic schedule coming up! 8 of the midweek Premier League fixtures from April 2-4 will be available for me to watch live on Discovery Plus. Although if any of them clash with Ronnie or Judd Trump playing snooker on one of the ITV channels that week, I'll probably be watching that instead. Unless it's West Ham of course.
Well it's a great week for players who predicted draws this week anyway. Bounce Bounce
After going nearly the full season I've got my 2nd Joker in two weeks... Big Grin

And this weeks joker is worth 9 points
That is absolutely wild Charle , absolutely wild.
Apologies for the delays - been a bit of a trying day.

Well done to all those who scored points, especially those who grabbed a super joker. I'm working on the latest results / table post - will have that up as soon as possible.

In the meantime, the new fixture list is up now in the main thread so please feel to get started on it. You'll have to get your skates on - first match is on Tuesday evening. Smile

EDIT: RESULTS AND UPDATED TABLE NOW IN MAIN THREAD
I'm relieved I only fell 2 places to 4th. I've had bad weeks before, but not when so many of the others seem to have had such a bumper week. Oh well, at least I got as high as 2nd place at one point in time.
Interesting that most players have gone for a Forest win , i thought most would of gone for a Fulham win that's not to say i don't think Forest will win i wouldn't of done them anyway but you know what i mean anyway.
^ I've gone for a Forest win.
I see Forest under their new manager as a resurgent team, and they have some of their better players back from injury. Where as Fulham are mid table, they aren't going to go down and they aren't going to get into Europe next session, and they don't have any motivation to win.
Also Forest are at home, including home support and preferential decisions.
