Strange that Boomer was always the last to post his predictions last season and he won I am not implying anything but.

Just get your own act together this season mate, rather than focusing on me. But well spotted, its would be inaccurate to say I was always last, often but not always. It was a definite tactic, surprised me more didn't do it. Seems daft to me to post early when key players could be missing before kickoff, impacting on predictions , common sense really, but hey, we don't all have it. Give it a go yourself if you think it might help, it's not against the rules, although it could be considered a risky tactic if you leave it too late & you lose your internet, miss the deadline, & score no points.
Must have cut really deep, when you didn't win to have a dig at me, pre-season. I'll let you have the first (below the belt) punch, but if your thinking of out bantering me, quit while your ahead, I can see how much you hate losing so maybe don't make a habit of it.

It's all good guys, each player has his or her own method. None of us can control what these pesky football players decide to do to mess up or validate our predictions lists.
I just want as many people as possible to enjoy taking part and hope that I can provide some entertainment in what's become a staple traditional competition on the forum. I thought long and hard about whether having the deadlines in place was a good idea but reluctantly decided to keep them as last season's postponement problems made keeping track of the game an uphill struggle.
That's on me - I need to find a balance between keeping it as organised as possible, but while still allowing all players to have fun at the same time. I want as many people as possible taking part to hopefully provide some escape from the stress of current events.
The rules about deadlines aren't set in stone, it may be that we can waive / relax them later down the line if postponements and rescheduling isn't an issue as it was last season, and I'll always give as much notice as possible with reminders in the thread and when able, private messages.
I'm trying to get a spreadsheet going again which will allow me to record the scores / fixtures more efficiently. An upgrade on last season's notebook and pencil crayons anyway.

Sometimes it's what goes unsaid that carries the most weight. Ending in a but surely implies something ? I question why raise the subject in the first place
Seriously, if you genuinely believe that I have somehow gained an advantage, then just say.
I was looking forward to defending my title, but this has taken the shine off it. If anyone else prefers me to not take part then, by all means post here & I'll take the hint.
Anyway, good luck yourself.

I think that last years winner should give everyone else a start.

How big a start though?

I predict my predictions will be predictably rubbish

I just realised I never congratulated you Boomer on your lucky victory (my bad), so err congrats mate . At least some part of Leeds won a footy thing last season eh, well you don't have to worry about that this time...I'm sure Kalvin Phillips will do that for you from the comfortability of the bench . Seriously though well done it was thoroughly deserved and well played to everyone else who participated.
Regen although this has been posted numerous times before one more doesn't hurt, you have done an amazing job as always mate, the premier League chucked a lot of problems at you for the past couple of seasons really but you and Snooks I should add handled them with ease like a peak Neuer catching a ball from a corner.
Good luck to everyone taking part this time round
