^^^ That's actually not a bad idea, but given the money that was spent on the stadium, I think it is too politically embarrassing for too many people that are still in public life for England to NOT play at Wembley Stadium.

Anyway, an NFL regular season is -- what? -- 8 or 9 home matches? England only play between 6 and 10 home matches per annum. I'm sure that the two can co-exist, with a couple of Take That concerts thrown in for good measure.
basically the season is sept to end of january proberly lose 2 home games a season and friendles

its already been agreed according to the press reports from 2017 if they do get a NFL Franchise
Another classic England display today, eh ? Fuckin' 'ell.
The England score must go down as a goalie own goal.
It was a classic keeper blunder, where he pushed the ball onto the post and then rebounded in off his legs Rolleyes
laboured performance for me
"a win is a win, its all about the result" blah blah blah, i backed rooney at the world cup but he is no better than average how many chances does he need to score a goal ffs
Not an inspiring display against 11 men or 10 even though England totally dominated the ball.
But having to claim scrappy wins is all part of sport.
The old win when you are not playing well cliche Rolleyes.
Take it and move on.
So this debate about Sterling telling Hodgson he's feeling tired and doesn't want to play.....we're in October, how many games has he actually played? Oscar played in the Olympics for Brazil, the entire season with Chelsea and the confederations cup when he was 20 years old, that was a run of something like 60+ games!
Well according to sky sports, his workload has trebled this season. If he can't handle playing for both England and Liverpool or England then he has to make a choice. When you are asked to play for your country shouldn't it be a proud moment of your career? with Sterling it apparently doesn't mean very much

In years to come I'm sure Sterling will publish his autobiography explaining that Rodgers ordered him to tell Hodgson was tired.

Think about it. Last time Sterling played for England he was left out of Liverpool's next match, with Rodgers claiming that after playing for England he was too tired to play for Liverpool - even though the Liverpool match was a whole week later. Rodgers won't have to do that this time, as Sterling was left out by Hodgson instead, so therefore we can expect Sterling to have fully recovered from his tiredness when Liverpool play this weekend.
