Yeah, they really smashed Algeria in the WC Round of 16: 2 huge goals to one (after Algeria had taken them to extra time).

If Hodgson thinks the press were talking 'F*****g B******s' to him he should think about the b******s that is out on the pitch masquerading as our national team!!

Perhaps what we see out on the pitch is the best that is available. Slagging the team off because they are rubbish is not going to improve them.
The FA structure from top to bottom and the way we coach young players needs a thorough overhaul. One of the biggest problems are the heavily exaggerated prices that agents demand for young English players in the lower domestic leagues. Clubs at these levels, who traditionally have nurtured young talent cannot afford to buy these players anymore so will buy from abroad. The quality is usually little better but they are cheaper. Net result of this from the last 20 years is what we see now on the pitch playing for England. Until this is addressed and some form of price capping is introduced then I doubt we will see much opportunity for young English players to build the basic skills and gain the experience they need to compete at a higher level.
I wasn't slagging the team off bytor I just said what I felt at the time, now I hope tonight we can smash Switzerland

Very respectable result for Scotland. I like Gordon Strachan a lot, and I hope Scotland qualify for Euro '16.

Algeria by themselves aren't most teams. But neither are they the exception that proves the rule in recent times, as you're trying to spin it. Germany played seven matches at the World Cup, and in "most" of them (i.e. the ones against Ghana, USA, Algeria, France and Argentina) they didn't smash the teams they were playing (being taken to extra-time by two of those teams in the knockout stage). They only smashed two teams in the WC: Brazil and Portugal.

But why don't you tell me to stop dragging up the distant past of a couple of months ago, so that we can all move on and pretend that '7-1' happened in the 1940s or something? Why don't you mention again that England went home after the group stage (after not losing 7-1 - or 6-1, or 5-1, or 4-1, or 3-1 - to anybody)?
What?...

Anyway i'm hoping England loose tonight just so I can hear Roy have another breakdown Big Laugh
