Shelayna Oskan-Clarke has won Gold for Team GB in the 800m at the European Indoor Championships. Top job Smile.

Meanwhile Jamie Webb claimed silver in the mens 800m Smile.
Yup and Holly Bradshaw just got silver in the Pole Vault. Should be a few more later but the 4x400m w is going to be tough.

Might be one in the Heptathlon for Tim Duckworth who is American but British family. Best prospect since Dean Macy - he can only get better but don't forget the Frenchman Kevin Mayer is missing and it would have been harder had he been competing.
Duckworth gutsy performance gets the silver. Bradshaw silver pole vault, Laura Muir GOLD 1500m the double-double( did you doubt she wouldn't do it) Second silver for Ireland Ciara Mageean. Still both relays to come but they aren't going to be easy.
Fantastic run from the women in the relay-silver for GBR and our best ever showing in European Indoors surpassing the 7 medal target set by UKA-actually my Dad said 10, but in the end we got 12 overall.
Gotzis: Katarina Johnson-Thompson wins heptathlon with personal best score - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/athletics/48412926

Congrats to Kat.
Gotzis is a major heptathlon event each year. A PB to boot. Excellent.
Problem is as good as it was her shot putt is still one of her weaker events and when Thiam comes back she will have to really up her game if she wants that World Gold later this year. In the Decathlon Damien Warner is the man to beat and our man Duckworth(who studies in the US) could be in with a chance of a medal if he comes good between now and September/October. Not had a really decent decathlete since Dean Macey and god knows we could do with one. I've been around athletics all my life and I even remember when Daley Thompson ruled the world!
An overall PB is a sign of progress.
If she pushes on and betters her PB again who knows.
Not saying it isn't good but without major athlete Thiam there it doesn't mean a lot in terms of winning the Gold. She will have to up her game more and get that bloody shot putt sorted out. She has enormous shoes to fill, Jessica Ennis-Hill will be a tough act to follow and she mustn't make any errors or it will cost her.
Big Diamond League athletics meeting from Stockholm on Eurosport2 this Friday from 7pm.
I still hold genuine hope for her.
I think there is a greater overall stability and better mentality creeping in.
Yes Thiam is the best in the world but KJT is definitely moving in the right direction even accounting for her comparative problems in throwing events.
