They don't need to know how many are watching. They just need to know how many have PAID to watch. They will always have that figure as they must have a complete record of payments received.

the vip's have paid to watch but for the month, so to know if a show is popular now they will need to know how many people are watching it and not just how many have paid on the night,
i would say bs should have a bigger interest in what the vips are watching as in the long run they will make more money from them than for someone who watches 2 - 3 shows a year when there fave girl is on

The VIPs must still need a PIN to unlock Freeview. I assume they would know how many PINs have been issued on any particular night.

From what I saw, these shows last night were of a level that would have been considered risque for the regular TV 2-4-1 nightshows 3 years or so ago, when contact between performers was deemed out of bounds, but wouldn't fit the expectations of people paying for encrypted content. It was certainly very conservatively filmed, with camera angles chosen that at very few points looked like remotely scaring the horses.
Friday was obviously a bit of scramble, with last minute replacements required.
Ella Mai and Atlanta both did a decent solo section each, but for some reason were only allowed a single 20 minutes each; there was no other liveshow content. (Though there was a repeat of Ella Mai's "fight night" with Charley).
It'd be interesting to know if the relative quietness of this thread indicates :
-nobody's bothering to watch
-nobody's bothering to post comments even if they do watch
-people only bothered to post comments when they were furious, therefore the shows have greatly improved

I think there was interested generated in the bsx liveshows when viewers thought they might see favourites from the regular shows going a bit further, whether that was just solo open-leg; or in 2-4-1's. However only certain performers seemed to be able to deliver on expectations, and disillusion quickly resulted.
Now it seems performers are being encouraged to tempt this section of viewers via pervecam and not this channel.
I don't log in to cams shows after a few experiences in 2013/2014 where I found myself burning credit to look at the studio ceiling (at least bsx at its worst is never charging by the minute !), but I suspect that like bsx, there's only a handful of performers actually meeting expectations here too.
FWIW, my own view is that people are drifting away from both the bsx shows and the regular nightshows in general, and therefore from the forum. Why bother to log-in if you're not actually watching the shows anymore?
It's the same with regular free-to-air TV threads : there used to be talk of the "usual suspects" dominating the TV show schedules, well..there's only a handful of "usual forum suspects" bothering to record and comment on them now too. I think that probably speaks for itself.

As you say, it looks for all the world as if the right babes are just not willing to step up to the expected content levels here (especially when they can do better with that same content elsewhere).
So bsx may have its own issue there but, from the operator's pov, the problem with bsx then becomes a microcosm of the problems with babeshows in general. How does any company make a good case for charging allcomers for things that were previously free to a majority based on a minority paying for them? (This disparity at the heart of the old babeshow model is the basis for a lot of regular old time callers having a sense of superiority when they come on here using their babe-inspired terms such as freeloader.)
We've seen so much of what's being offered by the channels before; wmhy do we need to pay now? Any interaction on offer needs to be backed up by the promise of seeing something we want to see... in a way that reflects VFM. For me, the shows have failed at this time and again recently.
Ella Mai & Atlanta were good for the limited time they were on, I didn't watch last night as Euro porn stars working at bsx limits isn't my thing.

I think they probably are encouraged towards cams by default either overtly or implicitly as the only/surest? way to meet monetary targets from a presumably dwindling number of calls overall per nightshift. Their old methods are probably no longer cutting it?
The fact that the TV presentation seems intentionally geared ever more to tease /frustration and showing ever less for "free" : static/top half shows only / curtains and etc seems deliberately policy to drive viewers towards cams. Which dwindles casual caller and viewer interest even further.
The babeshows have presumably ALWAYS been funded by a minority paying for the services ? It's just that in recent years as internet alternatives burgeon it's become ever more apparent the model is unsustainable so the shows response has been to become more focused on pay per view at every level.So I think you answer your own question there "why do we need to pay for what used to be free?"
I'm not saying cams are the root of b.s.x. problems by any means but it can't help a format that was struggling already well before cams services became prioritised the way they seem to be now as presumably a key revenue generator for all the shows ?
