Well ya they have done it before against AC Milan, but they only had to beat a 2 goal Milan lead, but this time they have to recover from 4-0 down against a far better team than AC Milan. Barca may win tonight, but I see Bayern scoring.
With Real Madrid not making the final last night, this is the 5th time that clubs managed by Jose Mourinho have been knocked out in the semi-finals of the Champions League (his 2 semi-final successes - with Porto and Inter - both led to his clubs winning the final).

Just browsing through this thread and seen this. Good call!

I said Madrid at the start of the season and changed to Bayern after the group stages. Knew Dortmund had the quality to go far but thought they would choke after seeing them play so poorly in the group stages last season Blush Fair play to 'em, great achievement! (although I still fancy Bayern)

Barca cannot be written off but to overhaul a 4 goal lead is a big ask even for them. Bayern are one of the of the top teams in Europe, one that can usually expect to do well and are no easy push over. To stand any chance Barcelona will need to come out with guns blazing and score early. Unfortunately they no longer possess the best of defences....pushing forward could make them very vulnerable to a counter attack.
Not sure how compelling an all German final will be to watch though Huh
7-0 agregate... ouch..Rolleyes
Barca will need to bring eleven fit Messi's to pull this one back.

The two best teams in Europe, arch rivals, in a European Cup Final at Wembley...

Be fantastic to watch if you ask me, a top occasion. Can't wait for the game.

I thought Schalke were Dortmund's arch rivals rather than Bayern Munich.

Should be a great final and German clubs highly regarded supporters should give a great atmosphere in the final.

My head says Bayern, but my heart (I really love this Dortmund team) says Dortmund.
Yes but Dortmund v bayern is like liverpool v man united in uk, dortmund v schalke is like liverpool v everton.

They are mate, think the Schalke/Dortmund rivlary goes way back. It's a local derby.

The Germans call Bayern vs Dortmund "The Classic". They're the two biggest clubs in the country.
