He'll have to move club then, he's not going to break into a role like that from RB at Spurs whilst they have Dele, Song and Christensen
Unless you can come up with a name
I didnt say he couldnt the point i am making is that i dont see him gettimg that role at Spurs with the players they already have and he would need to develop such a role at club level
I must give credit to Croatia, because England looked in complete control at one point and had them under the cosh, but Croatia held on when they needed to and eventually fought their way back into the game.
England should have been able to win this semi-final, after all they were fairly strong favourites and with good reason too, but in the end the story of the game was that an experienced team beat a young team.

Agreed this was our best chance in years but with this team there's hope for the future.

Show us on the dolly where England touched you
For me I thought England over-achieved in the WC purely on the notion I didn't think they'd make through to the semis in the first place but much like Liverpool in the Champions League they both had an easier route to the final (that may have just flattered them).Last nights game against Croatia was a carbon-copy of the Columbia game where England dominated both games in the 1st half ruing missed chances only to be completely over-run in the second half & extra-time where they seemed to be holding on.I cannot fault Southgate & the players for commitment & effort which they had in abundance & certainly stand them in good stead for the Euro's in 2020. Trippier & Maguire were the players of the WC for me & expect Leicester to be in a transfer scramble to keep hold of Maguire from some big money offers over the next month or two.
I certainly agree with other posters that England's main problem stems from midfield with the lack of a play-making midfielder like Gerrard/Lampard who can break up play & lay off 30-40 yard defence splitting balls (as well as hitting a 20 yard rocket on the edge of the box).Where are the Gerrard/Lampard type players in the English game I'm not quite sure (Jordan Henderson isn't the answer) but I always thought Ross Barkley or Danny Drinkwater might progress but they are both struggling on the Chelsea bench.
I did think the WC winners would be either Brazil or France & France are like a thorough-bred race-horse in the National on the final lap where they are slowly moving up the gears against sterner opposition with the finish line in sight.

Just saw this in the news.
"FIFA has asked national broadcasters and its own television production team to show fewer images of attractive women in the World Cup final."
