I can't understand why we aren't starting with Rashford instead of Sterling.
Rashford is our version of Mbappe, can you see France starting him on the bench.
Sterling is fast and tricky, but couldn't hit a barn door. However if was brought off the bench towards the end of a match he would have the pace of any tired defender. But please don't use him in the penalty shoutouts.

Tried and tested, I talked about this earlier that I think that one of England's biggest obstacles will be themselves and whether or not Southgate will stick or twist with the squad
If he sticks and they lose he will get lambasted for not sticking, if he twists and they lose he will be lambasted for not sticking. So he might as well do what he thinks is best
After conceeding late in extra time against Russia from a set piece it will be interesting to see how Croatia cope with England's set pieces tonight and also who England play in midfield to stiffle the likes of Modric etc

Sterling plays behind Kane. His job is to create space for Kane and for the midfield runners Alli and Lingard. Would Rashford do a better job in that position? I'm not sure that he would.
Alli doesn't look too good right I reckon Southgate may pull him off at h/time. That seemed a heavy challenge

Croatia haven't really threatened maybe if they tried to string some passes together rather than shoot from 35 yards they might get somewhere
