of course you meant 5-0 Japan...ImportantCool
seriously why was someone allowed to take a stun gun into the stadium - and allowed to attack Neymar was trying to play football, poor fucker almost died.ImportantBig Grin #kunt #youmaybegoodbutseeyou-youraCUNT
Feel gutted for Japan after that Sad.
Well done Japan. I'm heartily sick of the way teams from outside of Europe and South America are routinely written off especially if they don't have Premier league stars. And even when Japan were 2-0 up deep into the second half it was clear the commentators wanted Belgium to win.
Roberto Martinez football genius. Belgium 2-0 down and he brings on Fellaini and Chadli to make the difference and they win 3-2. Who else knew these two were game changers?
Belgium will have to play better against Brazil. I say that after watching Brazil as they comfortably dispatched a good Mexico side. Belgium were nowhere near as convincing and the winning goal was their only really good move of the game.
I read in the Metro that since 1998 England have only won 9% of World Cup Finals matches when televised by ITV as opposed to 69% when televised by the BBC Rolleyes.

#not my stat - don't blame me bladewave

Agreed. Brazil looked a class apart. They're much more robust defensively than Japan. I can't see Belgium beating them.

Japan have been accused of being naive for trying to win it in the last minute instead of playing it out. I don't think so. Many of their players were on their last legs. They'd given everything. They knew if it went on for another half hour they'd probably ship another two goals. They had no choice but to try to win it in the 90.
Before Belgium yesterday, the last team to come from 2 down to win a World Cup knockout match was Germany in 1970 (against England).

The last team to go 2 behind and win a knockout match without needing extra-time to do it was Portugal in 1966 (against North Korea).
Sweden and Switzerland 0-0 at half-time and both these sides are looking very average. Whoever wins out of Colombia and England should have a great chance against either of these in Saturday's quarter-final.
