To be honest that’s not a bad selection. Mine would be: 451/433

I did consider Lingaard but given my choice of formation it was either him or Dele Alli and though Alli didn't reach the heights of Lingaard during his purple patch, as an Arsenal fan it pains me to say, he had a more consistent season than Lingaard. Plus there is the added bonus that he will dive to get you a free kick or penalty in every match
Providing there were no injuries would definitely bring on Rashford and Lingaard in the second half, probs at the same time, as impact subs, using their pace to run at weary defenders
Also felt that because Stones and Cahill can be hit or miss and though Maguire has had a good season at Leicester he is inexperienced at this level and playing with those two defenders that they needed the extra cover in Dier and Henderson but the formation still allows for 5 attackers
I do think Southgate will probably start the first game with a 3-5-2 or a variation because thats the formations used most recently. Not sure i'm fond of it that much but in fairness i don't think it'll make a great difference.
what a shit England squad I can't believe Chris Smalling got left out for Phil Jones when Chris Smalling has had a better season then Phil Jones , Phil Jones gets injured a lot I don't know why Trent Alexander-Arnold got picked I have never hered of him Gary Cahill has had a shit season for Chelsea Jordan Henderson should never play for England he is shit I don't know why Ruben Loftus-Cheek picked I would of picked none of those players England won't go far with that squad then Southgate will get the sack after the world cup
