The law hasn't come in yet, the are probably just using it as an excuse for charging for perv cam.
as far as i know the new porn id laws were never passed and were removed from this years queens speech due to the cons submitting a much more trimmed version due to brexit and loosing there majority.
as for RLC's excuse... thats all it is an excuse... they stopped showing pussy because babestation killed unleashed so have no reason to go hc as theres no-longer the competition.

Yes it was passed. The law was passed on 27 April. The target date for the ID checks to begin is next April.
oh well i can see a lot of complaints about invasion of privacy... as thats what it is.
I don't see how having pervcam show avoids age verification check. As far as I am aware it applies to all adult content which means unless they make the Free to View show like the Sky daytime shows they will still need age verification.
The bill (
http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2017...030_en.pdf) defines what needs to have age verification
Section 15.f would apply to web shows and simulcasted TV night shows. The only thing that I think would be excluded would be Sky Daytime style shows.
Next year is gonna be interesting.

It doesn't, but since you have to pay for the pervcam surely your age is verified during the payment process. Credit card required?

For shows that are viewable without age verification it needs to be at the same level that the Sky Daytime shows are.
I think their strategy is to get people used to having to go into pervcam, and then next year they will tame down the free to web views shows to TV Daytime level.
That sounds like a reasonable strategy.
