That was hilarious. Are we now officially at war with MumsNet? Forum wars!!!!! ATTACK!!!!

Hehe, and good for you Scottish (REALScottish34 as I now think of you), for taking an argument to them. I found it deeply amusing that they couldn't handle paragraphs, and actually slagged you off for what they thought of as 'streams of consciousness' when of course you actually had a structure of thought out points, but their thread is nothing but streams of witticisms.

As for who is the imposter Scottishbloke, kudos there too. Who is it!!! Is it Kelly perhaps? Hmmmm

I am not sure of the model number of my 2 Thompson freeview box's but but 1 is around 3 years old and 1 is 5 years old both have recently had new software downloaded to them including parental control .

I do get what your saying, I cannot speak for the thoughts on the members of 'mumsnet', I have never even heard of the site until reading this thread and learning scotishbloke had joined so I cannot comment on their members views on violence or language. All we know is that someone has raised a concern over babestation.

At risk of the sin of derailing the thread, as for the Thompsons the DTI6300 was designed for exclusive use of top up tv, a mid 2000's flop for those unaware, I bought a reconditioned box as I wanted a cheap freeview recorder, this has had many firmware updates over the last couple of years but each does not deal with its core faults, its currently sitting on top of my wardrobe, i will try and tune it in tomorrow and delete everything except babestation and Dave to see what happens Big Grin. One of the faults is that the delete/rename function of channels, I have also had an Alba box before without this function. However in the bedroom I now have a technika box with these functions and is fully HD optimised, its a nice compact size which gives it a straight advantage over the older rather bulky DTI6300, it is a tesco own brand and was only about £30 so that would be 'simplymarko's pick of the week' for any concerned mums looking for a replacement freeview box to protect their little rascals. Set up is easy but it does only have 1 scart connector which can be a pain but a seperate dual scart can be purchased quite cheaply if you are running more than 1 device into the tv, much as I use the Xbox which allows me access to Sky stations through Xbox Live, but the stations DO NOT include babestation, elite or any others so this may be another option to give to the parents who insist on giving their offspring access to digital TV although that opens up a whole new issue of toddlers playing violent computer games such as the Call of Duty series or various shoot em ups that you have these days (im more a driving sim fan myself)

- EDIT i see you have a DTI6300 too, bloody noisy things!
Here's an even easier way to stop kids from watching adult entertainment and that is to take the fucking tv out their bedroom and if that's too complicated, then they should keep their legs closed and don't have kids. As Alexander the Meerkat says "Simples".

Not sure what you're getting at Dave?

Are kids not allowed to watch TV? Explain?
Hey folks, quick thread hijack...

The whole mumsnet thing? Not a feminism issue. Mumsnet might call themselves feminists, but considering the speed with which they jump into things like slut shaming and other anti-feminist bullshit means they most definitely aren't feminists. Feminism is a fine, noble and worthy cause which the likes of mumsnet sets back 20 years every time they go off one of their crusades.

It's a freedom of expression issue. Nothing more, nothing less. Fight the issue at hand; censorial urges from anti-freedom campaigners. If anything, fora like this one should be banging the feminism drum loudly and with great pride. If we, who are undoubtedly guilty of objectification of the women who work on the channels, don't claim that ground with sensitivity and genuine intent to demonstrate some self awareness, those who oppose all forms of sexual expression will use it as an incendiary strawman to chip away at our particular favoured means of erotic stimulation, as well as others in the future.

Here endeth the hijack. If anyone thinks this warrants further discussion, I'll be glad to discuss it another thread rather than derail this one further.

Cheers for listening.
The idea that one person could represent this forum is as silly as the idea that one person could represent Mumsnet. Except perhaps in the general direction of the main reason for the forum. This one is mainly pro babeshows, Mumsnet is about parenting issues, not porn or feminism. Some of the responses to "Scottishguy" were pretty negative, or flippant (eggs?), but then some popped up saying

I don't need any help to make up my mind. I have already done so.
We don't need persuading.
There are MNetters who abhor porn, those who don't mind it, those who quite like it, thanks very much.
What do you think that posting on here will achieve?

I agree with MmeLindor because she is awesome.
And, why does this shit come up on International Women's Day? Can't you ruin some other day?

ScottishBloke
There is your problem. You believed something you read in the Daily Mail. You really shouldn't.
Why don't you go and get a beer and a Tunnocks teacake and report back to your forum that there really is nothing to worry about. MN is not going to close your channel.
<snogs SGM>

I stopped reading after that. There are feminsts on MN, there is even a feminist section, but they are a small group who argue among themselves and are no more representative of the whole forum than people who play online games - no bad example, um...
As I said before mumsnet are essentially a "bunch of cunts" (just my option) laugh. That said I don't think they really give a shit about this issue (they will move on to the next topic quickly - if we let them). I think we'd be far better off diverting their attention to something else (e.g the optimum size of cocks). Finally, considering their average posts, I would put it far down the 'IQ and reasoned argument scale' than you would ever see here...

I wonder if any of the members of mumsnet will log on to this forum and that start spouting shit on this forum

It's definitely not vostok 1.

Regarding the fake Scottishbloke on mumsnet forum, I think it's pretty obvious who the main suspect is.
