TNT have agreed a new series of the 80's show Dallas the first series will include a pilot and 10 episodes and will focus on the sons of JR and Bobby.
I see that US show, AMC's The Killing is now airing in the UK on C4 (the first episode aired last Thursday I think). I've watched three episodes (downloaded) and so far its been excellent - I'd highly recommend catching up with the first episode online and watching it. Its based on a danish TV series called 'Forbrydelsen', which is also apparently well worth watching and highly rated.

Here's a review and the trailer for the currently airing US show:

I saw the double episode on ch4 last week. A bit slow going but pretty good.
Unfortunately I found the dialogue difficult to follow at times. I was not sure if it was the accents, or they were speaking too quickly or it was muffled sound. I do not have a hearing problem. When I had a look on the digital spy forum at the weekend, there were quite a few people complaining about the terrible sound quality for the show, so it was not just me.

Watched the first episode and I'm still undecided. It is a very faithful remake (although condensed from 20 episodes down to 13 and with whodunnit changed) with some parts almost being shot for shot copies. The Danish original was brilliant though and I would heartily recommend it to anyone. One of the tv highlights of the year without a doubt. If the thought of subitles is just a dealbreaker for anyone then the US version seems faithful enough to be worth sticking with.
