You know, I expected not to like Elementary (because of how good our Sherlock is/was), but I'm actually finding myself liking it more. I think Johnny Lee Miller has got it spot on as a modern day Sherlock.

just like with leverage, when Dean Devlin, John Rogers and Chris Downey wrote season one of leverage they planned the season 5 finale has the finale for seaon 1 if it was not renewed so they had a clear path to where they wanted the show to go and how the characters develope. some shows have a poor finale or lose their way has the writers and producers dont have a clear plan, look at the iron man, thor, capt america, hulk and avengers which were all planned out and the directors and studio had a path to get the characters to where they wanted them to be also the source material helped guide them.

sherlock and elementary are completely different. elementary had sherlock recovering from a path of self destruction and having watson has a woman has worked well.

defiance has been renewed. tnt have put last ship and legend to series.

ironside, dracula and black list look great. can blair underwood live up to raymond burr's original ironside.

would love to see a man from uncle series, also have a twist on the fugitive series.
Guess who's back lol:
thank fuck touch was cancelled! lol!
Thats made year with Jack back Smile.
Trek writer Rob Bolivar and Doug Drexler (VFX guru and designer of the NX-01) have launched their own campaign to get Star Trek: Enterprise back for a fifth season if successful it could appear on Netflix.

cancelled or not renewed:

666 Park Avenue - not surprise, struggled to watch the first 2eps has i could not get into it. even though that type of show is the sort i would watch and enjoy.
Body Of Proof - it was just a run of the mill police procedural show, it would have lasted longer if the show was like Quincy.
Last Resort - got bored after 20minutes of ep 2
Golden Boy - nice concept, good cast, shame it did not the demographic ratings but it had the viewers.
Vegas - i hope a channel like hbo, tnt, amc etc pick up. it felt a bit wrong on cbs.
Cult - not surprised. good concepted poorly executed.
Touch - not surprised, kiefer sutherland is forever jack bauer.
Deception - what a load of crap. everyone on and off the show seemed to take it too seriously and it came across very wooden. it had the same feel as revenge then it would have been fun to watch.

renewed:

Castle - there have a lot of funny moments, i could see another few seasons even if it means caskett have to break up.
Once Upon A Time - love the twists on the characters, season 2 finale was very good. cant wait for season 3
Revenge - i could see at least another seaon of this one.
Criminal Minds - another cbs' high rating show, season 8 has been great with a season long story arc of the replicator killer.
Elementary - great interpretation of one most iconic character/detectives.
Hawaii Five-0 - more grace park and michelle borth in bikinis
Mentalist, The - they need to end who is red john so they can move the show on and have post red john patrick jane.
NCIS - one of cbs' highest rating shows
NCIS: Los Angeles - a strong show with a decent viewer base
Person Of Interest - cant wait for season 3
Arrow - great debut season, could go for 10, maybe more, season
Beauty And The Beast -deserved to finish the story, more suited to mini season
Nikita (short season) - 4th and possible final season
Supernatural - they planning on to go a 10th and final season
Vampire Diaries, The - a very good 4th season
Bones - they need to kill of la plant (tech serial killer)
Following, The - could be the final season
Grimm - if they keep the scripts to this high standard then this show can go on for a while.
Revolution - loved this show from the first ep.

Lets not forget he renewal of a third season of Dallas.Sorry. Those who know me on here know I am a proper Forkie!!
Dallas has been good, they handled the death of Larry Hagman brilliantly, and after watching the special channel 5 did, you just know he would have loved it. I was a little worried that they were going to rely on the older cast members too much, but they seem to have found a good balance. I'm not sure what's in store with the whole 'he stole your fathers land' story, but the fortified compound was interesting.

Anyone gonna give Jean Reno's 'Jo' a look, (starts on FOX, Sunday at 9pm), looks like it could be a decent cop show, I mean it has to be good, they've got Leon in it ffs Big Grin

despite all of the negative reviews it has done well in the ratings (avg 6m an ep in france) has it is number 1 for its time slot. in italy it is getting twice has many viewers than the borgias. there could be a 2nd season and jean reno signed on for 2 seasons when it started.
