Mike Ashley has agreed a deal to buy YCCC. There has been a delay in signing, which has resulted in the ECB annual handout to the club, being forwarded in order to pay staff wages.
In an EGM the YCCC members have voted in favour of amendments to rules relating to Colin Graves financial proposal. A step closer to saving the club for a second time.
Still a lot of opposition to C. Graves though!

For 746 against 99

Absolutely, he's apologised, time to move on, even murderers get a second chance.
Darren Gough has stepped down from the role of Managing Director of Yorkshire CCC after 2 turbulent years.

Not a huge surprise!! Not withstanding the 'constraints' placed on him by the turbulent period around the club in general, he really didn't seem to inspire the team to perform at their optimum. Good players do not necessarily make good coaches.

Otis Gibson, was the Head Coach, Gogh was Managing Director, Goughie is actually an excellent coach, at school boy level, all the way up to England senior level.

Yes of course Booms, that is quite right!!
^^ He was clearly out of his depth in a management role, not a keyboard tapper, I notice that watching the YouTube Channel on Talk Sport he was a pen & paper man, old school.
Regarding his Coaching I remember that he initially didn't do all the Coaching Level Exams, which held him back to some degree from getting top coaching jobs at that time. Not sure if he completed them all in the following years. It was a bit daft, because in term of fast bowling he had all the technical skills & could explain them in the most basic & easy to understand manner, a Yorkshire trait.

All true Booms, which begs the question, how did he get appointed to such a pivotal position as his first 'managerial' role?? Reports suggest he was the highest paid of all 18 as well??eek Example writ large of Yorkshires mishandling overall!
