Got the console this morning can't believe how small the console is but i didn't really realise how heavy it was tho. The pad is a massive improvement over the dual shock pad all tho i have heard stories about the rubber on stick wearing out so fast and the pad doesn't last as long battery wise as the previous one. For once Sony have given you a HDMI cable which really they should have done on the PS3 and Microsoft too on the Xbox 360.
Am glad its been given a bigger hard drive but i know your given a 500GB hard drive space you lose just under a 100GB for the operating system and a lot of games install is 40GB. I haven't set up yet but i do will report on what i think of it. Would have loved to done a Xbox One thread but i don't have one those yet by the end of year hopeful i will fingers crossed.
I haven't got a PS4 yet simply because I feared it would be riddled with teething problems. I tend to wait when new stuff like this is first released to gain advantage from the improvements. Having said that, I know a few people with them and I haven't heard anything too bad being said as of yet. Another reason for my hesitance was GT6, they haven't released this on the PS4 system and we have to wait for GT7. I've read they are planning on getting this released sooner rather than later, which is good news and once that happens I will definitely be getting one.
Keep us informed on your findings mate, I would be happy to hear your thoughts.
Happy gaming! Smile
The only problem i have now is that i've run of sockets as i have my home cinema system the bloody sub woofer has its own plug i kid you not, the ps3, wii u and sky hd and demand box as well its a pain the ass. All my hdmi outlets taken up by the sky, ps3 and wii u and have the ps3 hooked into the home cinema system via a optical lead so i have no idea how am gonna get the ps4 hooked into unless i keep changing it depending on which machine am playing. I have Killzone for it and for it and that Metal Gear 5 prequel coming out on order, i wanna get Battlefield 4 but when it drops down in price a little. I love that Tomb Raider game but can't see myself rebuying it again for ps4 no matter how good it was as i have it on the ps3 and why the hell are games so dear pmsl.
is it worth the money or replacing the ps3? as I am thinking of upgrading to ps4 but the games are very very dear.

In some ways yes and in other way no, you can't play PS3 games on PS4 so for the time being you gotta keep the PS3 if you still wanna play the games on there until Playstation Now gets set up which will allow you download previous games from other playstation machines.
Plus it depends on what games you want it for, me it was games like Infamous second son, the next Uncharted game which won't be for ages, the two metal gear 5 games which will still coming out on the PS3 and will be a lil cheaper because am a fan of those games i wanted to get the next gen version's,Battlefield 4 is way better on the PS4 and you can play more people in a team death match, but your right the games are lot dearer same with the pad and any extra stuff you want. Am still keeping my PS3 as i have a big collection of games and some games i haven't played yet.
If You can afford it and can weigh up what games you want and either can keep or part with PS3 then its worth it other that if your not sure then you wait for a while till a good deal comes your way Smile.

i was thinking about getting something like does any know a good one that they can recommend thats not too dear and can the same be done with optical output too from cinema system?.
there are optical splitters do a search on amazon see what u think
Yes you can get a splitter for most things now which would help you.
Have you got a decent set of gaming headphones? If not I would recommended this firstly, it would mean you don't need to hook the PlayStation up to your woofer.
Obviously if you going to be using the PS4 for viewing 3D films etc, the woofer would still be handy to have connected.
I use a turtlebeach wireless headset and I would highly recommend these.
I had a wired set originally, but I kept standing on the cable so I've gone wireless now.
The game sound effects are enhanced (expanded) which is very helpful, whilst still being able to chat to friends online in your lobbies, all in one. They really are a fantastic piece of kit!
I do have decent headphones but there for my Wii U, as splitter its trying to find one that i know is gonna be good if you know what i mean, i don't want one thats too much money.
