For the first time in three years I haven’t bothered to renew my PSN+ Membership, on PS3 they used to give you good games and really themes and avatar pics some free and some you paid for, the themes you used to get were from video games titles.
On PS4 not only do they not give out good demos but the free games they give out have been really lame once in a while you get can be decent but it’s very rare. You hardly get good demos, or free games along with good quality themes or avatar pics it was way better on PS3 in terms of money for value and they had nerve to increase the membership a couple months ago.

I managed to get PSN+ 1 years subcription in August for £32 from an Ebay seller before the price got hiked up to £50 in September. The games in August & September were pretty dog-shit but this month (October) has a good roster of games though.
Metal Gear Solid 5;Phantom Pain is a great game for anyone who hasn't played it, I bought it last year & completed it so there's no point me downloading it.Amnesia Collection which is a survival horror is a really good game as well as Indie game Hue which is a great little puzzle game that works well on the Vita.
I've not invested in a VR Headset for the PS4 as there aren't enough games out for it to justify the £300+ price tag I did get to try the headset as one of my mates works in CEX & I played Rigs;Combat League which I found a to be a good game which is available for free this month on PS+ as well.

PSN+ have big discounts in the Halloween Sale at the moment where I managed to get Dead by Daylight for £12.99 & the massively underated Survival Horror Soma for £6.50 which is a cracker of a game (from the makers of insomnia Collection).

I certainly agree with you that some months the selections are poor & what does piss me off at times is that PSN usually wait up until the last day or two at the end of the month before they make their selection known but with Xbox Gold they pretty much show their hands early what their selections are so you know well in advance.
There’s a Justice League theme available for the PS4.
A couple things annoy me with the PS4, firstly recording footage more the way it does it. You can record 15 mins at a time which is fine it’s way better then the Nintendo Switch at 30 seconds. Where it’s really bad on PS4 is the share button is fucking tiny and if you have big hands along with fingers it’s really annoying. To set up a recording you need to tap the share button twice really quickly with the button being so small it’s hard to do if you don’t do it fast enough it doesn’t set up the recording but just records a clip instead. Also when you manage to get it to record there’s no indication it’s recording where as if your recording on Sky box you see the red light showing you it’s recording something at least on Nintendo Switch it’s much easier if you wanna take a screenshot you press the share button one like taking a pic on a camera if you wanna record footage you hold the share button down for three seconds and the button is bigger downside is that you only record 30 seconds and can’t upload to YouTube yet.
The finally issue I have with PS4 is the battery life of the pad sucks with the light and speaker that drains it all tho you can turn it down, what didn’t help is the battery capacity is smaller the PS3 battery.
What I hate about the PS4 is recording via the share button it’s too small especially if you’ve got big hands and fingers and to do a recording you have to double tap really quickly so sometimes you think your recording and your not or you think it’s saved after you double tap again and so sometimes it hasn’t.
On the Nintendo Switch the button is not only bigger but the to do a screenshot you press it once to do a video recording you just hold the button down however the recording time on Switch is very limited and can only share on Twitter and Youtube.
They're on about letting people change their PSN IDs: https://blog.eu.playstation.com/2018/10/...f199722151

But it's only definitely compatible with games that came out after the 1st of April this year.
Other games (ie: most of them) may encounter in-game issues and crashes and such.
Sounds like more trouble than it's worth, to be honest. No wonder it took so long if that's the best they can do.
