LCN 55 Channel 5+24 now on air and broadcasting 24/7 on freeview
I quite liked 'Marketplace' Sad 5+24 is mostly ads during the day, presumably because of crap like The Wright Stuff.
The new local TV station for London, called 'London Live' goes on air on 31st March. It's now transmitting a promo on channel 8 Freeview for those in London and the SE (you may need to re-scan). It's also on Virgin cable and will be on Sky epg number 117 if you're in London.

For those outside London you can get it on a Sky box on other channels:

12,610
V
22000
5/6
Currently the ID is 50892

Unfortunately they won't be transmitting free to air, just free to view with VideoGuard encryption, so Freesat users won't be able to pick it up.

I have high hopes for this channel - they seem well funded thanks to their ownership by the London Evening Standard, and they've bought the rights to a number of decent comedy and drama series, as well as commissioning new content featuring music, comedy and documentary.

They seem happy to experiment, so as long as that ethos continues it could be good. London now has a population of 9 million, so they should be able to turn a profit.

Norwich's new local channel 'Mustard TV' goes live soon as well - not so sure about that!

New freeview channel.

POP LCN 75 (Children's channel) 0600-2200 (Local TV only)
LCN 8 Mustard TV is now live (Local TV Norwich only)
I see that CBS Reality seems to be one of the new channels added in the latest FV retune. Judging from the schedule, CBS here stands for Chronically Boring Shows Sad
bid tv & price-drop tv seem to have bought the farm, so there'll be some bandwidth going there at some point, I assume Smile
Bid and Pricedrop have been removed from the freeview EPG.
Looks to me like the Community Channel hoovered up bid-TV's hours.
New 24-hour FTA Irish channel called Irish TV just started on satellite:

Channel 191 on Sky (may be labelled 'Showcase' but this should change shortly)
Channel 400 on Freesat.

Irish TV:
11.344 H
27500
2/3
Chart Show TV claim to broadcast on FV #67 (I think) from 10pm at night across much of the UK.
