Right these are not fully active yet, you need a freeview HD box and an internet connection in the back of the box for them to work.

Once you have all that and connect to the service your presented with a coming soon screen.
It appears an existing multiplex A slot holder is using a third party company called bid media to sell on the slot.

What is known so far is the slot will be 24 hours, the company hope to have the new channel on air by october.

Multiplex A has 11 active streams on it. Its unknown what channel will leave as of yet to make this new stream available. However as multiplex A is owned by SDN and SDN is owned by ITV we can rule out any of the ITV channels carried on here leaving. Also the 2 channel 5 channels can be ruled as thats on there gifted capacity.

News for the wales viewers of freeview:

Challenge goes 24 hours on freeview in wales. Thats right.

According to this post here: http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showpost....tcount=234

It is already 24 hours in england, scotland and northern island but is currently 6am-7pm in wales.

From september 15th challenge tv will be 24 hours in wales.

It is clear already they will use the 7pm-6am wales slot that had itv2+1 on it previously. The england, scotland and northern island version of the old itv2+1 stream will still be empty.

So every nation from september 15th will have challenge on freeview for 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
There goes my chance to watch Brainiac repeats twice instead of once Rolleyes And Guilty! And... no, that's it.
On september 20th Pick TV+1 will close.

Freeview have confirmed this on there website. Also same day challenge will move from MUX A to Mux C and require a retune to be maintained on the users freeview box.

We now know where the MUX A slot that bid media listed for sale has come from, this is because there will be a empty slot on mux A due to challenge moving to MUX C and replacing pick tv+1.
Wow, looks like I replied 9 minutes before the point was madeSurprised I guess 26 years watching Dr Who must have some side-effects... Tongue
