They definitely wouldn't know what hit them. I think a fine of £2,430,000,000 would bring them down a peg or 2.

Come now, they are doing such a fine job of keeping real naughty stuff off the tv.

Britain need not tremble.

(thanks for the rep, btw).
Sounds like to me they have the best job in the world having to check all the channels for any filth pmsl
(11-05-2011 14:35 )Gold Plated Pension Wrote: [ -> ]As stated in my post 261, Red Hot Mums were found 'In Breach' for showing a ten minute clip of alleged 'Adult Sex Material' 4 times over two nights of broadcasting.
Red Hot Mums is an encrypted pay to view channel located within the Adult section of the Sky EPG broadcasting between 22.00 hours to 05.30 housr.
Ofc@m made a big issue over the forty minutes of FTA broadcast even though it is less than 5% of the total time broadcast per night and no doubt only a small proportion of the alleged 'Adult Sex Material' shown being 'offensive'...
The broadcaster themselves revealed the other three broadcasts following an internal investigation.

Good points by GPP.

Under section 319(4) of the Communications Act 2003 , the Ofcom must have regard to-
(a)the degree of harm or offence likely to be caused ...
(b)the likely size and composition of the potential audience ...
©the likely expectation of the audience ...
(d)the likelihood of persons who are unaware of the nature of a programme’s content being unintentionally exposed, by their own actions, to that content;.

Since the transmission was a brief freeview in an otherwise encrypted channel that few people would be routinely flicking through, and freeviews repeat the same recorded clips ad nauseaum, it would be interesting to see what assessment Ofcom made as to the likely size and composition of the audience, their expectations, and the harm or offense that audience would be likely to suffer. Most of the time casual viewer would just see a blank screen.

A good indicator of these factors is the volume of actual complaints generated.
UEFA Champions League 6 April ITV1 - 9 complaints - not in breach
The Wright Stuff 14 April Channel 5 - 113 complaints - not in breach
The Promise 27 Feb Channel 4 - 33 complaints - not in breach
Richard Keys and Andy Gray 29 March Talksport - 22 complaints - not in breach
Press Review 6 April Sky News - 38 complaints - not in breach
Live Football Special 2 April Sky Sports 2 - 39 complaints - not in breach

Red Hot Mums 8 Jan 22:20-22:30 - 1 complaint - in breach, final warning

Clearly Ofcom is out of synch with the publics percetion of offence. Judging by the above its football the people find offensive.

Posting content should be fine, as long as the posters don't draw attention to anything suspicious, as in capping slips or mentioning them, or mentioning when the mic is on. That will only feed the loser monster known as Ofcom. I think anything revealing should be kept to PM's only, especially comment wise.

Censoring ourselves is exactly what these Ofcunts want us to do, censorship is their agenda. It would be better if the forum was closed to guest viewing (e.g. you have to sign up an account to view the forum) and pictures aren't visible until you have 10 posts or something like that

I agree that this is partly the channel's fault for never sticking up for themselves and letting the Ofcunts do what they want. They should have complained to lawyers or the government about Ofcom's abuse of power a long time ago but they don't seem bothered about being constantly shit on which means worse & worse shows for the viewers

Seems to me that Ofcon are on a huge crusade.

What they want, and will allow us to see, is The Sun Page 3 "tits & bums" on the babe channels and "Confessions of a Window Cleaner" for the encrypted ones.

I agree with all of the above - if it was necessary to be a member to view the content then it may go some way to avoiding the use by Ofcom of these threads.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if all the lazy, ineffectual whingers on these Ofcom threads actually shut up farting in the wind on here and maybe did something useful like lobbying Ofcom and their MPs instead?

As long as only a couple of people actually do something official in the appropriate direction, then you won't be surprised if Ofcom falls over laughing when they read these threads in here.

How do you know that people have or haven't lobbied Ofcon?
