What "argumentative attitude"? I asked a simple question.

The suggestion appeared to imply that the trouble is at my end. As someone who is basically ignorant of these things I couldn't see how that could be the case without also affecting any of the hundreds of other sites I visit.
not the suggestion to turn everything off is so that you know its not at your end. so it can be ruled out. without having to ask you how much bandwidth were you using. as that in itself can cause the site to load slowly...

if you wanna help solve the problem post a tracert when the site is slow. make sure you have nothing else running or it will skew your results. use the format posted in the topic "slow boards HelP!!!" https://www.babeshows.co.uk/showthread.p...#pid813596
I always disable everything else except e-mail when I'm having problems with the site and I don't keep any streams running in the background at any time, because if I did my slow connection would reduce everything to a snail's pace. I haven't used torrents/p2p since I found out what they did to my usage rates and hence my ISP charges.

I don't know what 'ping' is other than the fact that it has some sort of relevance to multi-player online gaming, which I have no problems with (although I have to admit my experience is limited to just one game).

I can tell you exactly when I first encountered problems with the site - it was the day half of Bang Babes channels went off air and every man and his dog came on here trying to find out what was happening.

Btw, just to clarify, I only occasionally have problems getting onto the site or into the various sections. I can usually get as far as a particular forum (e.g. the Babestation General Forum) but then can't open any of the topics/threads. If I get into a thread I have difficulty posting - even the preview feature doesn't work a good deal of the time without multiple attempts.

Edit: I don't know if it's relevant, but your signature contains buttons which I guess are supposed to link somewhere. When I click them they do the usual animation thing but nothing else happens.

As vila has posted, there is something strange about your sig buttons.
They actually work for me, unlike vila, but 2 new tabs open in firefox when clicking one of them.
I'm definitely not double clicking, and there is no mouse contact bounce.
1 tab is correct, the other is blank. Huh

(29-04-2011 15:25 )mr mystery Wrote: [ -> ]I have had exactly the same problems has vila , and i am definitely not submitting or clicking the post button twice , it has only happened since i started using the new Internet explorer 9 , also every time i submit a post the post shows up twice on the forum and i am continually having to delete 1 of my identical posts , i have seen recently that other people on this forum have had exactly the same problem with the double posts , this never happens if i use google chrome .

IE9 can't be the problem - I'm still on IE8. The only time I've had an actual double post is when I've been unable to get back to my original draft and have re-composed my reply before having a second try at posting.

Has anyone reported this problem that isn't using internet explorer?
yes i use opera. ie8 and this is a connection issue not a browser 1.

as for my sig. i just installed chrome and firefox and clicked on my sig. they all load fine. firefox opens 1 tab only as does chrome...
so i guess in this instance it will be an addon that your running or some setting in your browser thats causing the problem, as both browsers were running there default settings.

i do know that sometimes when you click on the buttons they may take there time loading up, but thats down to the content being hosted on an external image host.
As far as HEX!T's sig buttons are concerned, it seems that on my system it's an IE problem. I've just tried Chrome and they work ok there.

Sorry for the o/t red herring.
It can get quite frustrating at times Sad Very slow atm. I am guessing everyone is coming onto the site to see where Alice is.

I right clicked on Becky Roberts Night show Chat and Discussion 'last' and selected 'open in new tab' from the list of results of 'new posts' at about 21:08.
