That 'coming soon' message has been on it for ages now.
Or have I missed something here?

It's been live for a few weeks. It's showing four separate streams of Red Light's channels. However, you need an IPTV-compatible receiver (box, PVR or TV) to see the channels. They use the internet to deliver the streams, rather than over the air. They are free however.
If that's the case, and they read this forum, I would suggest that they might get more viewers if they put that info on screen in place of the 'Coming Soon' message. Rolleyes
^ Absolutely. I suggested it a month ago on the Red Light thread. No response from the channel rep at all. Sad
I got myself a new smart TV and I still can't watch RLV on fv
^ Freeview IPTV is notoriously fickle as to what equipment can receive it properly. It could be that your TV needs a firmware update to do so. Certainly any IPTV-capable smart TV that's less than 18 months old should be able to get it.

What should happen when you switch to the channel is that a red button prompt appears on screen. Pressing red on the remote will then bring up the IPTV channel selection menu on screen.

You could try channel 18 (4Music) as a test to see if it's just channel 181 that's a problem or IPTV in general. 4Music are transmitting an additional three IPTV channels via channel 18. Here's what should happen (copied from post on Digital Spy). Channel 181 should work in the same manner to get the Red Light channels:

The 4Music IPTV service is now up and running on my Samsung SMART TV, and a very smart application it is too.

A red button prompt appears on screen "MORE MUSIC TELLY".

Once you press it, a menu appears on the right hand side of the screen with schedule information for each channel, and you scroll down to access Kerrang!, Kiss and Magic.

Pressing the OK button takes the channel fullscreen, and a further press of OK brings up a now and next EPG guide.

The Back key will return you to the menu screen and ultimately the Channel 18 4Music DTT stream.

Picture quality on all the IPTV channels is very good with no buffering or stuttering.
According to the monthly Ofcom update, TXT Me TV Limited, the licensee for the two xxXpanded channels, has just taken out a licence for another Freeview service.

They seem to be doing pretty well, especially as they're keeping everything in house and using their own licences, rather than taking space on Playboy or TVX channels, which is what most of the others do.

I'm all for new channels coming along, but a third xxXpanded channel will be like waking up to find another wart on your dick.

I reckon even Ofcom have given up on this outfit. I heard a rumour that they once fined them for being too tame.

A perfect analogy Bounce
More the merrier for me (more choice)
Its the image quality that does my head in to be honest.
