What box do you have?

It a technomate

Judging by the amount of people having problems its probably fault at their end so I would just wait a few days.

Also if your box is old the capacitors may be dying especially if its an old thomson. You may also need to get your dish realigned by a sky engineer.

I can get horror channel 319 perfectly, as I can almost all the channels on Sky, but I can't get style 253 or travel 251, nor military 531. The babe channels are all coming through perfectly apart from channels 2, 3 & 4 from Studio 66. Sky Sports is perfect so at least I can watch the cricket! Thanks for your helpful suggestions, which I appreciate, but if my dish had become unaligned surely it would affect reception of all the channels?

No if your dish was just slighly mis aligned it would lower the signal margin which would mean no signal on some or just enough signal on more powerful transmissions. Whats the signal level on the default transponder it should be around 80% for a well aligned dish. Is there any snow settled on the dish?
For clarity, it's 12643 Vertical QPSK Symbol rate 27500 FEC 2/3
Note also that this is an unusual frequency in that there's also a 12643 on Horizontal as well.
So if you've a misaligned dish (not necessarily dish, but could also be LNB and skew), you can get issues whereby you can't get all the channels on a frequency or nothing on the frequency at all.
On any $ky+ box, channel searches are always performed on LNB2, so check the quality and signal strength in services to confirm it's up to scratch.
An alternative, that can help with $ky+ style boxes is to set it to single LNB mode, reboot (hard reboot of power out, 30 seconds pause to let capacitors discharge), reboot. Then search, and see if results are different. Then put back to dual-LNB mode.
You can find all Astra 28.2 transponder information at sites such as kingofsat
Im still having trouble with the studio 66 channels, when i do a full scan it pick up every channel but studio 66 2,3 & 4, i got strom back, anyone got any idea what the problem might be. Thanks
i get all sky channels perfict signal i would not be happy if i did not get babestation when Lolly is on lucky all my babe channel get good signal

Thanks for your help Barney Stinson. I checked the signal a few times to see if it varied, but it's always the same at 80%, although the signal quality is always the same at 30%, so perhaps that's a problem?
just give it a whack with the broom lol, works every time for me Big Grin

Tony - if you have good signal strength (therefore likely an aligned dish) but poor signal quality, it's either your LNB is starting to fail or you've not got the LNB aligned (or it's moved).
LNB's fail over time - they get water in them and with the cold weather the inner cone can crack. So if you find that on some frequency ranges you get generally poor signal quality then it's likely the LNB is the area to work on.
If you see what happens if you work across the 4 distinct frequency ranges of satellite, you can see if you get problems in only one area.
Also check that your LNB hasn't moved with wind or whatever - it should be at an angle to the main dish - meaning it shouldn't be directly parallel to the dish vertically - an LNB has a "skew" which for Astra 28.2 would need to be correct to wherever you are in the UK (or Europe).
LNB's are fairly cheap and easy to replace, so if you do find issues, just buy another one and fettle it up on the dish, making sure you keep the skew the same.
