I think they will impact Babeshows but I suspect they won't mean the end. Problem with things like MFC is the sheer volume of performers available and the breadth of competition which is global.

Some of the top girls on MFC have spent years, and put some serious hours in doing some extreme acts (well by babeshow standards) to make the money they do. The reality for a lot of girls is 5 people in the room, 4 of them guests, and nobody tipping.

What doing the babeshows does is give you a profile before you go on line; is there any other way the sour faced, statue Lilly Roma would ever make money on MFC otherwise?? Some of the girls like Danni Harwood, Jennifer J, etc have understood this relationship which means they can charge a premium when they go onto Adultwork as long as they deliver the goods (Danni with dildos and Jen doing B/G I think counts as "delivering the goods" by any reckoning).

This is similar with link between pornstars and escorting; you can really make a killing if you are semi famous.

So I think what we may see if girls doing the babeshows to support other income streams rather than it being the primary one.

You've also got to remember that phoning a show is easy for the non-tech punter. Sorting out a Skype account, paying by card for an account, setting up sound/webcams/mics can be beyond some folk.

I think the interesting thing will be if Ofcom regulates further and this £1 per minute cap on costs hurts the channels when it comes in.

I agree with your points. I envisage a process of gradual change until sites like MFC create 'stars' in their own right, without needing TV babeshows as a launchpad.

The case now is that babeshow girls are usually awful on cam sites as they have no idea of what to do, sitting there arrogantly expecting tokens for nothing.

On the other hand I see a rising number of really talented and attractive performers on MFC (not from babeshows) who know how to move and where to place the camera. They also know how to interact with the punters and their picture quality and lighting is often better than some babeshows!

Certainly it's an interesting time but if I was a babe show proprietor I'd be buying brown trousers fairly soon.

i wouldnt say all babeshow girls are awful on cam sites there are a few but the majority of the ones i have tried have been well worth the money. ive not used my free cams but the ones on adultwork or the ones that have arranged privatly using skype and paypal have always been very professional and very accomodating. find the bscams and the S66cam site to be worse for girls wanting huge tips thats mainly because the company take a huge percentage so they have to to make it worthwhile

i agree i only ever saw charlie oneal on mfc and she was well worth the money always put on a good show in group and private and never asked for tips

From the girls I have seen Lolly Catherine was excellent at nude tease shows and seemed to do well on MFC and Sophia Knight seems to understand it more than any other babeshow girl I have seen, she sets a target for goal which many don't but more importantly she is friendly and talks to the guys in her room much like the American 'stars' of the site. Many babeshow girls have poor quality cams, ignore the guys in the room often with sound muted whilst on the phone then wonder why no one tips them. Personality and attitude has a lot to do with how well a girl can do on MFC and is why some American girls make a lot of money from the site.

Interesting question would be whether a Babeshow could afford a girl like Stacey Doll? I doubt it somehow!!

I think the channels are starting to understand that camming is where the money could be. A smart channel may even think about a tie up with someone like Adultwork. You could take girls onto the channels from Adultwork almost for free (i.e. treat it like an advertising session almost) which allows AW to charge higher rates for these "famous" girls. Mutually sustainable possibly???

I'm not convinced S66 webcam model works because it is too occasional and the right girls aren't on it. I think the Babestation cams is more like it with a number of different shows per night. However neither is a serious competitor for AW or MFC.

Next couple of years are going to be interesting

I think the issue with BABESHOW Channels now is that they have been going down hill for a long time now. By down hill i mean bore fest girls to static just plain boring to watch really. Is only so much that can intrest u of a girl laying there.

The shows have been forced to become boring because of the strict rules. And until the channel owners decide to fight the extreme rules it will continue to get worse.

You see far worse on embarrasing Bodies ect in the way to offend and other Channel 4 programs and ITV2 than is allowed on a nite show which u have to put a sky 4-digit pin number in to view bonkers
