^It's an offence under the Road Traffic Act to leave a vehicle unattended with the Engine Running. It's known as "Quitting". £50 fine/No points IIRC.
People, usually women/mothers or young girls who say "oh! there's only (add number here) sleeps until Christmas-I mean WHY? Use it with kids fine, but it sounds daft when talking amongst themselves! Don't the days count as well? Big Grin
Dickheads who ride their bikes at night, kitted out in black, no lights or reflectors, just asking to get sideswiped at a roundabout.
The fat fuck Corden shouting “Its Christmas” on the UK Gold trailers. Fuck right off. annoyed
Listening to Gary Davies on R2 yesterday (OK, my own fault), and him rhapsodising about Christmas telly, specifically Gavin & Stacey ("I never watched it originally, but blah blah...") and Morecambe & Wise ("weren't they great?") made me realise Smashie & Nicey did die in vain after all.

And You only see them when it's too late as well. And they cry foul on the bloody innocent motorist when they were at fault in the first bloody place!! Boris should be setting an example on this!! Which leads me to thinking it is time cyclists had some sort of licence plate on their bike if they want to ride on the road and pay some sort of tax on road use.

Was Gavin & Stacey any good in your opinion?

Good grief you post some utter nonsense.

Let's get a few things clear. The only people with a RIGHT to be on a road in this country are pedestrians, Horse Riders and (don't get angry) Cyclists.

Drivers must be licensed and insured and their vehicles tested where appropriate. This is because of the disproportionate amount of injuries & damage caused when they are involved in an accident.

Taxation? EVERYONE pays for the roads out of general taxation and is therefore entitled to use them. "Road Tax" has not existed since God was a lad and is now known as Vehicle Excise Duty and based on emissions. There are hundreds of thousands of cars on the road (including Electric ones) that are exempt from VED so why should someone on a Bike pay it?

Number plates? Have a word with yourself. There are more cars on the road with cloned plates than there are people on bikes causing problems.
There is case for some sort of licensing though. In the sense of passing a test of competence to ride on the road. Some of them haven't a clue about other road users.
I regularly move heavy equipment on the road. Nothing makes your heart sink more than seeing a cyclist in the distance. They usually fall into two categories. The petrified panicker, and the smart-ass cunt.
The panicker will look behind, see 10 tonnes of angry looking metal with more flashing lights than a Christmas tree, and frantically wave you past. No you idiot. I have about 10 k/hr on you, the acceleration of an oil tanker, and there isn't nearly enough road. Either pull over or put up with me breathing down your neck bladewave
Then there's the smart-ass who thinks a race will be fun annoyed You can tell he's slowing up because suddenly he gets alot closer, very quickly Rolleyes So you get an opportunity to get past the twat and sure enough the head goes down and he starts pedalling like Bradley Wiggins. So your left stranded on the wrong side of the road with two options, brake to pull back in and hope the drivers behind have twigged what's going on, or turn him into roadkill. It takes alot of self restraint not to go with the second option...

Then there was the time my mother swerved to avoid a cyclist who pulled out of a junction in front of her, without stopping, and hit another car head on. Fortunately it was slow moving traffic and no-one was hurt.

Of course the vast majority...yada, yada... safe and considerate... yada, yada... etc, etc...
That's my second point how often do you see cyclists go through red lights? Surely they can see the light is red and you are supposed to stop? If you pas the test of competence to use the road on a bicycle then you have to show respect for the laws of the road in general
