This is not just about Mo. Rolleyes forget it.
Well done Andy Murray
and the most deserving nominee got ....sod all imo not even 2nd or 3rd pathetic
Thought Chris Froome Deserved it more than Andy Murray to win 2 tour de frances in the manner in which he did them is a feat. Dont get me wrong Mo also deserving but its the case that

Scottish nominees always do well its like the irish as well they will always vote for there own.
Andy Murray got 361,446 votes, Kevin Sinfield 278,353 Jess Ennis Hill 79,898 in 3rd and Tyson Fury 72,330 in 4th
I think if Mo repeats the feat he has achieved in Rio, (which I imagine is possibly going to be achieved at altitude) then it is a possibility he could get both in 2016 Surely that could be regarded as a huge feat in itself
What a joke the whole thing is. Andy Murray and the word "personality" shouldn't be in the same sentence.
Sports personality ?
I still have trouble with the title, which seems to suggest we should only be searching for somebody likable, who plays sport.
In which case, Andy Murray comes across rather drab doesn't he, with his robotic monotone interviews and stern facial expressions laugh
But the title name is ambiguous, and based on an annual record of achievement, we could easily make an argument for various people to win. All probably more dependent on our own sports tastes, instead of clinical merit.

It's a dumb-arse award that's a bit of fun.

See....... look at all the fun we're having kids Rolleyes
^ exactly - the whole show is founded on something illogical.

The racism argument is lame. I mean how did Lewis Hamilton win it last time when he had only one other driver to beat all year? What a dodgy result that was. Racism is a very lame argument, unless the contest is racist in favour of black people?

Shandy's argument doesn't convince either. If what he said was true about middle/upper class sport voted for by BBC-types then surely Rory McIlroy would have won it easily last year? The people he refers must like golf as much as tennis.

I think it's just about TIMING. The Davis Cup win fell just perfectly for this competition - 2 days before the list was announced! It could hardly have been timed better. If you look at previous years too I'm sure you can see a pattern there.
